when is the trailer of the movie gonna release? am actually excited to see this movie soon!! Update: I now know that during February they will announce the making of this movie in the Berlin International Film Festival this year. Hopefully by then we'll recieve a movie trailer. I am excited as i am curious for the book. It has some great reviews and the story looks interesting considering it's in ireland and also a historical one. Even tho it's fiction it seems the MC is pretty heroic. I like that.
I'm guess the strikes have affected the release. Presuming the strikes finish within this year, it will probably be released around next early spring (when film festival season starts).
On February 15, the Berlinale will open with the world premiere of “Small Things Like These” by Tim Mielants, screening in Competition. So, the trailer must be coming soon. :)
I read the book a few months ago and althought I read something on the press that they were looking for locations to make the film, I didn't thought he was going to direct and perform it..😮
I hope the movie will be showing in my country too, I can´t wait cause the book is beautiful and interesting. I didn´t know about Magdalena´s laundries, it must have been horrible.

The aim of the book, I think, it is to talk about the problems with non married young mother's pregnancy and how the twisted catholic moral and society treat them at that times. I'm from Spain and in here it also happened something similar with the theft of babies at the some hospitals related to the church . This story however it is narrated in a descriptive and moving way through the main character Bill Furlong. I also wish I could see it here so althought seems it is a quite independent film.
