    It was so nice to hear Huddersfield mentioned 💖 I live in Huddersfield, the village blow where Jodie’s from to be exact.
    The thing I love about Jodie is how local she is, and how true she stays to herself. She’s proud to be from Huddersfield and Huddersfield is proud to call her one of our best.
    Her image as an actor is only expanding and she’s getting the incredible recognition she deserves, but here at home she’s just known locally as Jodie from shat. It’s absolutely incredible how well respected she is at home, Huddersfield is just so incredibly proud of her. It’s such a community town, we’ve got much respect for the treasures that’s come out of it ☺️

    I love her description of the Doctor being this millennia-old alien with all this life experience and hindsight, yet being able to go into every new situation with open-mindedness and curiosity and compassion and a lack of judgement. That is so powerful, and really encapsulates everything that Doctor Who is about; if humanity can learn anything from this show by watching the example set by a Time Lord, I think those lessons of approaching new things without pre-conceived ideas, trying to understand without rejecting or judging on first impression, and being divided from the 'bad guys' by a difference in ethics rather than any superficial difference in culture, those are the things we should all be trying to emulate. Her Doctor is so compassionate (as are her companions), and that is why I love her

      Descendant of Montrose I doubt she’ll be back after this series, the viewers are at an all-time low and still dropping. Between her and the writers they’ve made some serious errors; poor story-telling, lack of gravitas, and becoming way too preachy.

      @@TheZackkary1 If you did even a little research you would have notice that the ratings are higher on the night of the premiere of every episode than almost any episode of capaldi, if you are referring to overall ratings you should probably wait to look at those until the series is over. Other than that Skyfall had higher ratings than the last two series finales of capaldi, so no the viewers are nor at an all-time low nor are still dropping.

    It's so sad to hear her say "You don't want to be the season that ruins this history". There's certainly some enjoyable bits of S11 but it gets so much unnecessary hate. I really hope people will look back on it down the line and enjoy it more.

    • @TheZackkary1
      @TheZackkary1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Irrev77 she (and the writers) are certainly ruining it now though, with hamfisted writing and preaching to the audience.

    • @TheZackkary1
      @TheZackkary1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Irrev77 the show certainly has gone downhill. Ever since they put SJW politics ahead of writing good stories - and she is part of that.

    • @Irrev77
      @Irrev77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I disagree. S10 under Moffat has more preachy political messages than Chibnall’s era. Plus, Doctor Who has always been political. The problem is that they’re not subtlety weaving it into the writing like they used to. It’s very surface level. Plus a lot of the stories have just been mediocre, though I feel Series 12 has been a huge improvement so far. Spyfall quickly became one of my favorite NuWho stories.

    I always thought that geeks attracting themselves to Film + TV do so because Family is boring. Dr Who is a loner. And all the showrunners etc of any successful TV series, in particular, are 30 or 40-somethings who have just 'discovered' the 'wonder' of their spouse giving birth. TV need not necessarily be a surrogate family or a cushion creche for inspiring younglings who might want to grow up having individual thoughts and find their own way. No TV series should preach and Sci-Fi must be beyond that because of the subtextual values it already has.

    If only she put as much effort into her acting as she puts into trying to sell the show. But its not all her fault. I doubt the best actors in the world could survive the terrible writing. I have gone back to rewatching old series. Acting and Writing so good, there is no comparison with the hot mess that is series 11 and now 12
