I have a question and i went through a lot of comments to see if its previously answered, but couldn’t find it.
My question is, my wife is in india and her address is same as mine. We have been married for almost a year now, so for the PCC she will enter her current address which is her in-laws. As per the PR application, for her address history i mentioned both her parental home address and her in-laws. Do we need to get a PCC for both addresses or just enter the in-laws address and PSK will take care of both addresses.

Hello, this means you application is being proceesed in your regional passport office, you can say your district office I guess, they will move it forward to main PSK , and it generally take up to 2 weeks.

Hello sir, even my condition is the same. Me and my wife live in Mumbai but her passport has her older address of Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh state.
Now, we wanted to make PCC for me and her for Canadian PR purpose. The issue is that she had already made her profile way back in 2018 for new passport application with RPO Bhopal. However, when we login to that profile now in 2022, we are not able to put her present address of Mumbai as I can’t modify the RPO. The website says that the RPO and the present address should be in the same jurisdiction. Kindly advice.
Create a new profile on psk website and submit a new application for pcc.

If they are not satisfied they can do inquiry at your old address as well
Dear Sir does the category of PCC matter, I am applying for PR, but my PCC has been issued under the Citizenship/nationality category, will that be a problem?
Category should be 'other than than citizenship' one, but dont know if you submit with other Category will ircc accept it or not,
I would suggest if you still have time get the right category pcc.

You have to select immigration purpose other than citizenship when you fill the online form. Thise means your pcc is for PR.

You dont have to visit local police station, they will come to your house when they will get request from passport office.

What’s the validity of pcc?
There is no expiry date on PCC, but it should be of latest date.
How many businesses day will it take to get pcc after appointment day?
It will take around 15 20 days. What i did was I contaacted local police statition as well because they will get enquiry request from psk, so that process can be fasten.

Ok, check your staus on the psk website, it should say some thing like pending with local police station. And then check with your local police station if they got your file from psk. They will visit n verify you . They generally do it themself but I was following up with them to expedite the process.

Yes you can do it. Online application ch apna jo v current address hai oh fill krdio and appointment ludhiaba psk di le lio. Make sure your current address and address passport is same.

They will just verify and return it to you. Just take the color clear photocopy with you attested by your self, otherwise they will ask you to do that again. Is it of PR?

Yes you can attach the copy of that request, we did the same as well in case of my wife.

Ok ok, go that, same for us as well, adhar would work. But there are chances when police come for verification, they send the verification request to there original address/state/city, they have a option to do this.

We never changed our names, If you have chnaged name than I guess ot should be same on your passport or get your adhar updates back to old name.
But the name on passport before marriage and name in adhar after marriage will be different right? As u said u have updated your adhar so is it like u only changed address in adhar?

Hello sir, I got my address changed to Mumbai on my passport while I was working there but my aadhar/permanent address is for Delhi. Can I select my PSK location as Delhi even though my passport has Mumbai address?
Yes bro , you can do it, Verfication will be done at Delhi address.
Passport address is Mumbai, Aadhar address is Delhi but can I select PSK for another state like Punjab or do I have to select it as Delhi i.e. same as the address on address proof document for PCC?
Try to choose the same Psk of you state, and for verification you need address proof of you current address

My passport and Aadhar has my old address and currently I am in Punjab. Do I have to update my surname also on Aadhar when applying for address as my husband has different surname?
2- If I am changing it on Aadhar do I have change marital status/ surname and address on passport also while applying for spouse visa as he is a PR.
If you passport is not expirring thdn you dont need it, just updats your adhar with new address and if you want to add spouse name in adhar you can do that as well. Changing surname is not needed

Reason I am asking I had consulted with someone he said I have to get PCC from both place, and I have to get my address changed on Aadhar as well as on passport and add husband name on Passport then after I can apply for PCC.
Not needed at all, just get your adhar updated first and then get your pcc done at your current address, ground verification will be done at your current address.

PCC can be valid, but depends for what purpose you have done, if you have selected some other pupose and want it for diff one, then it might be invalid. Thats why asking. Check with someone else, I am not expert on this.

Yes bro, you can use it, at least one document should be there. I mentioned adhar, because it easy to update with in less time.

Status online likhia a ria- PCC application has been granted on 23/04/2024. Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Model Town Police Station, Hoshiarpur. PCC will be dispatched to your current address after a 'Clear' Police Verification Report is received at the RPO. You would receive an sms once the PCC is ready for dispatch.

So your current address should be the one on voter card and when it ask for is permanent address is same present and you choose no, here you put address of passport. Your pcc will be done at current address, if you got the confirmation letter of changing the address on adhar, that can also work as address proof.

Hello. I needed some help. While entering address details for PCC on the PSK website, my present residential address is Mumbai but my permanent address is Noida. But I am unable to submit the form as it says an error - "You have registered under RPO Ghaziabad but your present residential address lies within the jurisdiction of RPO Mumbai. The registration and present residential address should be with the same RPO"
You should be able to do that, Can you try Pune PSK and see if that works, this is only to check if this works or not, dont book if you dont need.

We got that done similar scenario, permaneent address is odisha and curent address is punjab, we got pcc done in punjab.

You can apply for PR from India and from Canada as well. If you are applying and submitting docs from India then PCC should be done from India, and if applying and submitting docs from Canada then pcc should be applied from Canada.

Hello sir I have one doubt my husband applied for Pcc in India we got a date after 1 and half month ..and my husband change the spouse name on passport..so the passport will be renew my doubt is that is we need to reapply for Pcc as the passport number will change please let me know
I would say yes, pcc might be needed again. I would suggest not to add spouse name.

Hi, I live in Canada and I have come to india to visit my parents, I have received my ITA (yesterday) but will accept it once I reach Canada on the 23rd of April, my immigration lawyer does not help much, since I don’t have much time, can I apply for pcc in india and do I have to be physically present if I apply it from india for Canada coz I’ll be leaving from here on the 20th. Applying from india I can get the pcc within 21 days and applying from Canada it’s 8 weeks, I’ll ask my parents to courier it asap, but can I apply it from india, and in that case permanent address would be my Indian address and present would be Canadian? Please advise
Also, I had renewed my passport in Canada so I have the Canadian address on my Indian passport
If you want to submit your doc from Canada , then get you pcc from Canada it self.
I’ve applied for my pcc from Mumbai and they are not giving clearance as my name on passport is of before marriage and name on adhar is with my husband name.
Is it possible to still get pcc in this situation?

Diffrent address will not be any issue, if you are getting the pcc done on your current address and you have a proof of it.
I did provide my marriage certificate and adhar proof for current address but they are saying I’ll have to provide it as per my passport name and address which is I feel very vague.
They are correct, your name should be in sync with passport I guess.

@2 States In Canada: I am currently in Canada and I got my ITA but I have to travel to India. Can I go to India and get my PCC done and submit from there? Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance!
Yes bro, if you are in India and you are getting pcc from there, Then you have to submit all your documents from India, and put your current address as India and when you return to Canada update your current address of Canada.
But I will suggest to submit all your doc from Canada only. And get pcc from canada.
