The BMW driver was stupid to sit at that spot when the bus was making a right turn. The bus will swing out and clip the car which is what happened.
@@careyleroux3784 Yeah I'm pretty sure that there are signs behind saying not to pass a truck or bus when it's making a right turn. So even if the BMW driver takes the Megabus Driver to court, the BMW driver won't win the case.🤷♂️🤣

The bus driver didn't check his tailswing, he should've known assuming Megabus taught him how to make those turns. Turns like those can't be made without straddling both lanes especially in downtown Toronto. It sucks what happened, it's never easy driving giant vehicles in Downtown Toronto.

He probably was unable to because the BMW took his lane away. Likely panic and went through the turn anyways

Wow 😮 that was a pretty tight turn usually I’ve noticed when it comes to large vehicles like the bus they are usually on the second lane or they make a wide turn and sometimes vehicles don’t give space for it feel sorry for the driver of the BMW that has to pay for the repairs if he wasn’t able to catch up with the bus driver even stop it 😞keep up the good work stay safe and take care 😎

Feel awful the bmw, wasn't his fault and the old guy laughing at him on top of that. I've seen this happen with another bus downtown, make sure to avoid these buses.

Geese, Megabuses shouldn’t be on these narrow urban roads if they’re that big and tall. My one thought was at the end, the BMW driver looked to be chasing the bus to confront the bus driver. I hope that bus driver didn’t get fired

With a truck it would've been understandable if the back end of the trailer swings out and hits something to not notice anything. But with a bus, the back end corner is always visible. It sticks out massively over the center of the rear axles so all that stuff's gotta turn.

The driver is not above the luggage compartment, the luggage compartment is above the rear wheels. Which you can clearly see in the video.

Back in 2012 in December I witnessed a big 7 ton truck crushing a brand new parked Mercedes Benz . I was doing the salvation army Christmas kettle, I was on my lunch break, I'm walking down Cambie.St in Vancouver BC Canada, and I hear this very loud crunching sound, I look to my left and this 7 ton delivery truck with the Okanogan Spring Brewery logo on both sides of the truck. The driver was trying to make a tight right hand turn to go park behind the liquor store on Cambie.St. A black Mercedes Benz car was parked right at that corner, so when the delivery truck tried turning right to get behind the liquor store he drove right over the top of the front engine hood of that car that was parked on that corner. The two front tires of the car exploded from the heavy weight of the 7 ton truck. Then the front axles of the car broke and the two front wheels of this car broke off completely!!! Every one looked and couldn't believe what they saw. Then the dumb truck driver put the truck in reverse backs out and then starts driving away from the scene to avoid getting caught. He was pulled over by the Vancouver police 4 blocks away, he was indo-canadian, and the car he crushed by bad driving belonged to the manager of that liquor store. He got fired and charged, for bad driving skills. I gave the police my written statement because I was one of 9 witnesses. The owner of that Mercedes Benz was so mad that he came out of the liquor store and said to the truck driver in hand cuffs, how could you be so f.....g stupid? What you thought you could just drive away and not deliver the liquor to my store ,crush my $140,000 car and nobody would know who did it? 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😜🤔🤔🧐🤨🤨😔🇨🇦

A moment of silence for the BMW driver.
BMW driver’s fault. The bus should have been positioned more to the centre of the road, but its driver did nothing wrong. That that car had no business being where it was, alongside and close to the back of a long vehicle with a long rear overhang that swings out. It should have remained behind the bus until it had completed its turn. Basic driving sense!
The bus pulled up beside the BMW so no, it's not the BMW drivers fault at all.
Now we know why it's called megabus
