With pressure at 60psi and plenty of volume I am starting to think the pistons may be missing, it pays to be very careful when buying from a stranger when they tell you that it runs very well, it looks nice on the shelf though. Thanks again.
Ive been building and messing with computers for a few years now, looks to me like a basic computer case fan, readily available and cheap enough that it wouldn't matter if it only lasted a few weeks!
The regulator on this prototype has been re designed on the production models to give you a much more control on the power, once they are run in you can get it to rotate slowly.
how long does this take to get into steam from cold and like how long does the water last in the tank and how do you put the water in the boiler is it with a injector or pump and would this be ideal for pulling small things along using the drum winch
you can also find acceseries ther like the shovel ,blower fan and poker parts nuts, bolts whistles ect.its like a big hobby store for live steam modeling
What a amazing engine. really liked watching it. How about using the flywheel and powering something? Thanks for sharing it with us. Get steamed and steam on! I do not have a 1" but with my Momods and Wilesco's, I would question using tap water. I use distilled water myself, being that tap water really builds up deposits in the boiler, but it may be different in the 1".s.
We are starting with charcoal soaked in lighting fluid and then running on anthracite. We sell the correct size fuel in 20KG bags for running this engine.
+william burgess it should work fine on air, the only point to remember is the cylinder won't get oiled correctly so try to get a thin oil in there, where are you trying to put the air in and what psi, cfm's is your compressor?
Hey your in the Maxitrak company right. Well can you tell your boss or whoever sets-up the new businesses to put one in the U.S. so i don't have to go to Britain to buy one please.

This is the first time we have Run it on coal and were very impressed with the results. despite a leaking blower valve it still ran well.

mine does not run slow but stops, does it need running in?
