I hope DT stays in State College. It is such a huge advantage for guys to train there prior to enrolling at PSU. Lee, Haines, Kasak Taylor is a magician at getting these ready to dominate at the D1 level. It would be a huge loss to lose him. Great show boys. Congrats
Before you dismiss the possibility of DT to OK St because of his ties to PSU and legend status, look at his mentor. Cael was an Iowa St legend…even a burgeoning coaching legend there before the secret meeting with PSU that changed history.

Most of the battle today is about recruiting & bringing in big donors. David Taylor has an immediate affect there. People are talking about him not having coaching experience, but what do you think he does at M2? He trains wrestlers! How's that different from coaching? He'll be just fine at sitting at the corner of the mat in a folding chair while his wrestler wrestles.
I’m a huge Okie State fan, but idk if it makes sense to hire him as a head coach. Assistant absolutely. But he’s not even held a coaching position I don’t think.
I thought Coleman would already be named and bringing the head coach from Little Rock up as associate coach. 🤷♂️ though. I like DT as a choice but not sure if it is right one for Ok. St

Iowa could have 3 Ferrari brothers, that with Ayala, Arnold and Kueter could be a squad. At what cost? The Ferrari are for team Ferrari , and everyone else is against them. Good point about the Ferrari effect on Iowa.
Cody Chittum left the program after already being there. How many wrestlers have decided to pass altogether due to the toxic Ferarri element
I don't see Taylor at OSU, but I guess it would depend if Taylor is looking for a NCAA coaching job. Also he seems very attached to the vision and purpose of M2 - not to mention he loves Ohio / PA. He could build a legacy there and he knows Cael's system. I don't see Askren leaving WI or AWA. He's developing the future of USA wrestling more than NCCA's IMO.
Ben is not going to coach college.
David Taylor is Chasing the Money he has several Businesses in the State College area and David just said on his Ytube Channel he was going to open up a Restaurant Downtown State College also David said he would fight MMA UFC Jordan B for $10 Million 🤔

Why would he do that if he needs to beat Brooks to reclaim the top spot in the world and PSU has the best training center?
David is 33 and even if he won the trials, unless Im mistaken he may have been considering retirement from competition. The next olympics he will be 37…. D1 coaching positions, especially in a Tier 1 school are RARE. This is a dream job. As a PSU fan, I will miss DT but happy for him. It’s more surprising that OSU is hiring outside the program. They don’t do that.

A while back DT said win lose or draw he is done 24 Olympics and wants to transition to mma
He was too old for MMA. He’s 33/34 and realistically it would take several years to acclimate to the level of competition he was seeking. Regardless, now we will never know.
Cael payed Carter to come back because he knew he would be going against David taylor

You need high end recruits to make a run at Cael and he is one of the only ones who could draw em and he has done amazing things on the youth level. If they can pry him away, OSU becomes a real threat
He seemed to do a pretty good job with Levi?
In wrestling the best wrestlers typically become the best coaches: Dan Gable, Cael, John Smith, Ben Askren and Max, David Taylor as well.
Carter not big enough for Ferrari
Zach, why do you keep the hype up for an AJ against anyone at Penn State match. First off, who is taking AJ? And why is anyone taking a kid that almost killed a family in a head on accident with AJ passing up a hill. And how much money was dropped off at the girls house that AJ apparently assaulted, to make her have cold feet at the last minute. Zach, scrape up all ur shekels and put it on the line, and I’ll take Carter if that match happens. Ur prediction of the match happening is as good as ur last year prediction of AB losing.
Iowa could have 47 brand new facilities, but they have no plan to close the hundred plus gap in team score. The new wrestling room fits Tom’s mentality to a tee, as it’s dark and there are no windows to see into the future.
Barraclough has graduated as a 4.0 bio-engineer and needs a masters program somewhere in his field.

Cornhole Kevin, you create hypotheticals PAST TENSE which obviously never happen, about AB barely beating DT at OTT’s. Kevin, if ur aunt didn’t have boobs, she would have been ur uncle.
Your first caller stated he was at Lock Haven when lock haven was beating Penn State in wrestling. In the history of those schools, PENN STATE IS UNDEFEATED. Smallest victory was 34-13 in 2005, and largest was 50-0 in 2015.
Brands makes 700k for 24-25, it graduates to 800k till 28-29….now imagine that Carter is apparently getting 400k just to wrestle the postseason next year….who is more valuable to their program?

Okie State flew to SC to visit DT. That happened before the OTT. They asked him to visit their campus.
DT has zero head coaching experience, and zero experience with the politics of it all. I mean, what is DT selling potential recruits on….I just lost to AB and I underachieved at the NCAA Finals by getting pinned by my old room partner.

Why would anyone want to go to Iowa….the mentality in training is still “run through a wall” Terry applied for the UNC job and didn’t tell any of the wrestlers, the Ferrari debacle, the gambling issue, AND it’s in the middle of nowhere.
