    You know a panel is bad when it comes with a dedicated CPU failure light

      It felt like Edwards knew that the QuickStarts will get CPU Faults so they put that light on.

      @@nics-systems-electric I mean with that logic then your saying the 3030 is a bad panel due to it having a cpu fail light ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
      The 3030 is a beast of a panel tho

    Edwards Durabels and those Edwards Motor Bells are Canadian only, right? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of systems down here in America having them, only Adaptabels.

    The different detector you saw looks to me like a siga2-ps assuming that the system is addressable. Those detectors are now discontinued because they can cause false alarms. Cool video!

    Couldn't blame the school for putting up drop ceilings if they were originally dealing with noise problems between classes (especially during times like pop quizzes/tests) or something like that.

    I had an EST addressable panel and that damn cpu fault didn't ring the sounders on a small electrical fire that triggered 3 smokes! sure thing I saw the smoke on the cameras because our cameras have thermal and smoke detection also as a backup because these ESTs man, it's dumber than a brick sometimes

    • @BeezyKing99
      @BeezyKing99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Hmmm_Hmmm Supposed to disconnect until manually restarted (the dust collector systems)... having worked in a school shop as a student, I've seen the systems shut down when the alarm activates.... I don't know why this school doesn't have it set up accordingly.

    Fire alarm pull stations in bathroom that’s actually uncommon I’ve seen a couple In rest area the one I’ll give you that I saw was a EST Gennis system and that bathroom had a 270-SPO In there it was next to the West Virginia/Virginia State line on I-64

    They decided out of all of the panels they could use they decided to use a QuickStart. Every single Quickstart should be replaced. I would rather have a version 1.0 firmware 6820 then a POS Quickstart. I wouldn’t even wish a Quickstart on my worst enemy unless it’s Exit Sign Guru.

    The quickstart was prob the worst system EST released. Its known for CPU, programming, alarm, and reset issues. Pretty much all EST appliances have these issues but the quickstart takes the cake. At least the IO series kind of made EST go from “dumpster fire” status to “Poor Mans Simplex” status. Still though, EST has some major work to do.
