This is still my favourite Christmas song of all time. As a Christmas Day tradition, we put this on full blast while head banging and drinking fizz in our PJs - great way to start Christmas morning!

Can’t believe it’s already been 10 years since this momentous occasion. I remember that long, painful silence while listening to BBC Radio 1 waiting to hear who won.
Actually Joe was Christmas Number one in Live real time sales in Christmas week, Christmas Charts is out by nearly a week every year, due to silly Week Ending, the real winner is Joe with The Climb, 27th December Countdown for 20-26th December Sales , Week Ending 31st December 2009, As Rage was #1 From 20th December but the sales was only from 13-19th December Only, that way off before Christmas.

@@michaelhall5429 it not weird its the truth, Christmas Week starts from 25th December onwards, Christmas charts for UK Singles and Radio 1 should Include From 25th December sales /unit data, but they dont and never have done, so Rage was #1 for one week only from data crushed 13-19th Only with physicals and downloads, for 20th December, where is 25th, 26th it not there never has been reached, so radio 1 is early, so if Christmas charts is broadcasted on on Top Of The pops at 25th December that data was only reached up to 19th Dec only, and that is the fact, i heard it on Radio 1 27th December #1 was Joe McElderry with The Climb they thought it was the last #1 of the year really, but the data was reached from 20th to 26th December thats the Christmas #1 True not the last but contains Christmas day and Boxing Day.

@@iajanus it would be Rage was only top for one week in 2009 with the sales provided from 13-19th December for Radio 1 Christmas Charts broadcast from 20th Dec same edition as 25th for Top Of The Pops Broadcast Joe was Top with the Climb for Christmas Week Data from 20th to 26th December for 27th December 2009, Radio 1 Christmas Charts is always behind and never include Christmas day data at all
I rejoyced that this blistering song was number one for Christmas in my country. My mum hated it, shucks.
