Durian for beginners should be Monthong durian that is not too ripe. It has a crunchy texture, it's very delicious, and most importantly, the smell is not strong.

Let me introduce you how to choose the best durian. It should be crispy outside but soften inside. Thais wouldn't eat soften durian (overripe)BCOS it is very bad smell. Let you guys try next. Im sure you will like it.
