If you've still got this, I'm sure you move that drawbar bolt now so it pulls that front gang right in. Needs one of the angled holes. I pulled a 10 footer behind a 7000 Series John Deere that looked just like this unit and it was the best harrow I have ever pulled. Cut right through logs, stumps and nearly anything. Also kick hell out of that tractor and spun it clean down over a dozen times. I was only letting it open up about half way. Damn nice disc.
Excellent job staying in the grove pulling the plow, makes finished land look nice and uniform, ole disc will be in demand when folks find out you have it, not a lot of them around, good looking iron too
im looking at a rome disk similar to that but 12' wide, and 32" disks. How do you get yours to and from the work site and how do you get it on the trailer? I was debating on buying a trailer to pull behind my 3/4 ton.
My D4G barely pulled that sucker now that I have a D5 it pulls it way better. A buddy of mine‘s got a D6R and he can only pull a 10’ Rome plow. I have a tilt deck trailer that I back it up on and unhook from it that I pull with my dump truck.
I'm looking at a Rome plow, it's 16 discs, with 36 inch discs. I want to pull it with a D51 PX-22 Komatsu dozer, 130 Horsepower. Do you think it to much disc for my machine? I'd really like a 9 footer, but it seems they're pretty scarce. I found a 71/2 foot, but the guy wants more than I want to pay, because its quite a ways away from home. The freight to get it to my place is $3400.00. This bigger one can be bought for 1/2 of what the smaller one, but needs all new discs. I don't know how much work ill have for it, if I can even pull it. Any suggestions? I see this video is a couple years old, do you keep pretty busy with yours? In the blogs you said you were hoping to keep it busy. How's it working out for you 2 years later? Thanks! Don

Hey I think it’ll be enough power to pull it and yes I use mine about three or four times a year
