Hello I've a Radiomaster TX16s (version 1) and the betafpv expresslrs elrs 2.4ghz 1W Micro Module. I can't change the 10W value, in the module joistick or in the LUA software, Do you have an ideia what maybe is the cause?

I was getting frustrated with this because I couldn't change the packet rate. I was having range issues with the ceramic antenna on the mobula 7, even at 500mw. Failsafing in places that my frsky spi receiver Tinyhawk 2 didn't failsafe at. After watching your video I went into the lua script and was able to change the packet rate from 500hz to 250hz. I'll try that and see if that fixes my range inside of buildings problem.

Yes I would try dropping the packet rate down to 250hz or even 150hz. The ceramic antennas are great on whoops (light weight & don't have to worry about antenna placement) however, I have had comments from other pilots stating they don't do well in concrete buildings and prefer the normal antenna receivers. I have no problems with them in my house, but I do not fly bandos or parking garages. Hope this works for you.

@@slogfpv5679 I just tested it on my lunch break flying through the shop. No control link issues at all for the 2 batteries I flew at 250hz.

Will this work with the spi aio boards and how is it with with the happymodel ep2 rx's? Also looks like it like the fixed the joy stick.
    Thanks for the review.

Hi AL USMC, I have bound it to my Meteor65 PRO which is a SPI AIO flight controller. I did have to upgrade the FC to 4.3.0 Release Candidate 2. I am in the process of upgrading my other ELRS receivers.

@@slogfpv5679 Awesome. Will have to maybe give this module a try. I know Betafpv was trying to do their own coding. Glad to see that it is no so. Again... thanks for the content.

Hi, so the Release candidate 2 is a version 2.0 of ELRS receiver and the module vers. 2.1?

      @@teobass82
Yes, release candidate 2 is version 2.0 for the SPI ELRS receiver and the module is at v2.1. Since this is a minor release, it is backwards compatible with 2.0 but not 1.x because there were major release changes in 2.0. Hopefully by Betaflight 4.3 release time, the SPI receiver version will be at 2.1. But again there are only minor changes.

Hi friend! Nice Video, thank you very much! Could you help me with something? I have a R9M-2019 and have flashed ELRS to it... now, I'm about to buy some ELRS receivers... Do I must get R9 receivers or could I get any receiver that runs on ELRS protocol? I'm thinking about buying a happymodel with those ceramic antennas... another question would be: which one is better? 900Mhz or 2.4Ghz? Ok, I really want long range possibilities, but my principal goal is good and solid penetration... What do you think about that? Could you guide me on the right direction? After seen your video I'm already thinking about buying one of those modules too... 🙂

Hello Natan, once you flash ELRS on the R9M-2019 module, it is compatible with ELRS receivers like the BetaFPV ELRS Nano (915MHz FCC/868MHz EU). You have to be running the same major release of ELRS on both the RX and TX (ie 2.x to 2.x). Also the same compatible frequency between the RX and TX.
I personally run 2.4GHz as that has more available receiver/transmitter options. The R9M-2019 is not compatible with 2.4GHz. Theoretically, (915MHz FCC/868MHz EU) would be targeted for Long Range pilots, although 2.4GHz has ridiculous range as well for most pilots like me who fly Freestyle FPV. I would probably recommend a 2.4GHz module over the 915/868MHz for most pilots unless you want to fly miles out.
Lastly, if you are really concerned about penetration, I would go with the 1W version of this module.
      Cheers,

@@slogfpv5679 Thank you very very much! Your knowledge and tips were very useful for me. That's what I'm going to do: since I already own the R9M-2019, I'll buy two or three 900Mhz ELRS receivers and use them together. I'm still a little bit confused why I would rather choose 2.4Ghz if they say 900Mhz gives me more penetration through walls, trees, etc... I normally fly by myself and my kind of goals are bandos and trees, at the most. But.... even so, I'm thinking about buying a 2.4Ghz ELRS Module and receiver just to give it a try, but I don't know if it would be better in that kind of penetration I want than the 900Mhz ones. At least I've just learned form you that I am free to use different "brands" of receivers and modules (2.x and 2.x)... and of course, I would pick the 1W module as you recommended. Thanks again! If you wanna say any other thing, please, fil free to do it.... 😘

@@NatanRufino The biggest advantage for ELRS 2.4 GHz is latency (500hz vs 200hz packet rate). For Racing, latency is king so you would choose Ghost, ELRS2.4 or Tracer. I am not a racer. For Freestyle, the answer is not as clear cut. If you fly bandos (I don't) you may want to go with ELRS900 for better penetration with the sacrifice being latency. If you are pilot like Mr Steele, he would recommend ELRS2.4 or Tracer. But most of us are mere mortals (average pilots), probably the lower latency is not needed. If you are a fixed wing LR pilot, the choice is easy, ELRS900 or TBS crossfire. Latency is not a big issue for LR pilots. Here is a link to UAVTech on the subject. He goes into great detail on the subject and can explain it a lot better than I can.

@@slogfpv5679 Thank you!! ❤️ I think I got the ideia. When I first migrated from analog to DJI digital system some people some spoke about the bad latency DJI would have, but it did not affect me too much. I understood very well your explanation and I'll give a try to the 2.4Ghz ELRS... May God bless you. 😘
