Hello! I am from Bhubaneswar as well. When you go to Puri, don't use maps. It won't help you. Talk to locals. There are tea shops and breakfast shops with pure veg food at every corner in Puri. :)) hope you had loads of fun!

Next time when u go to visit jagannath ji..try going at around 2:00 am when he is at gundicha mandir...it's not that crowded and u will also get to go very near to the lord and also can touch them and give a round around them

At gundicha mandir always ticket darsahan available on 50/-. Early morning also u can visit. Only people having ticket can go near mahaprabhu.

I studied in bhubaneswar since 2013 to 2020 and trust me i never got the chance to visit puri...i went to outskirts of puri and other beaches but not puri. Even before 2013 i visited puri every year with my family. Im from jharkhand.
After i left bhubaneswar
Now i somehow i end up visiting puri everyyear. Idk how and why? Im sure this is all lord jaganath work. As i am far away from him now... he calls me every year and im so grateful. Jai jaganath

bhaiya max food are without onion garlic in puri, yeah there r less in beach side because of tourists, but nexttime u come na go to Shree Hari Grand. Its the best and owned by the maharaja of puri, u can see his palace also behind, its just infront of puri temple.

normally when i go out i couldnt find the satwik food thats without onion garlic, but here in odisha, we have it everywhere.
like in maharastra onion is there in prasads also but here nothing is used not even potato or tomato in some places

Next time please visit grand hotel on grand road only ...it's completely veg restaurant. This restaurant is owned by King itself
Just a fact or point to note, almost all the hotels and food place in and around Puri Temple are pure veg only. You will rarely find anything which is not pure veg. Even you will find food without onion and garlic also. Since it's a temple city the food is always veg only. Hope this helps when you visit next time or for people who will visit in future.
