I believe it's called the air-water interface. It's quite a unique environment, with life forms on both sides. I believe the person calling you a 13 year old meant you actually enunciate when you speak.

I think the comment about her voice was a bit of Freudian projection. The commenter desires 13 year old boys so he sees and hears them everywhere he looks, even when they aren't present.
