Wow! Mr Thomas Giam you are really fantastic showing all Singapore's old cinemas. This is really great. Do you take all these pictures By yourself? Most of these cinemas are no more around.it really brings back sweet memories. Thank you very much
... as a kid, parents brought us to a cinema near Beach Road, after that ate satay along a sandy path. ... also, we were warned not to go to a cinema near Great World”, where a certain haunted seat had been cordoned off with tape... thanks for the nostalgia... especially Grand Cinema in New World, Jalan Besar, (near our house in Upper Weld Road) and the night expositions within its grounds, where mother’s fave purchase is medicated oil to send back to papa’s family in China, where once papa was pickpocketed, and where my favourite kiddie ride is the boat on real water, that goes round five times for 15 cents... haha, those were my best carefree childhood years... thanks again

影片裡所出現的戲院，都是我年輕時經常光顧的戲院，還有很多的戲院由於本人不太熟悉，不想在這裡介紹，免得錯誤百出，說真的，如果當年我們新加坡不是有這麼多好戲院可以去，這麼多好電影可以看，相信我們年輕的記憶裡，會少了許多活潑而又樂趣無窮的片段，不是嗎。。。
記憶中光藝機構屬下還有一間"金都戲院''
在當年沒有電腦💻手機📱的年代，唯一的娛樂消遣就是看戲，想當年追女朋友的時候也是約看戲，當年在看戲前還有播放“國歌”，每個人都得站起來，表示尊敬，曾幾何時，“國歌”不見了 ！？

小时候住在后港，那里有三间戏院，华英戏院，仙宫戏院和国华戏院，非常怀念。
以前當兵的時候，有去過國華戲院看戲，那是幾十年前的事情了！
怎么可以漏了星光戏院！屡次逃课，偷越过学校籬芭去看电影。
