Tomac is dialed. His dad, as we all know, was a world champion bicycle racer. His mother was also a world class bicyclist. His brother is a fighter pilot. Eli is all business. He gets it done and he wins. Respect deeno!!
I understand Deno's feelings when he first got into the 450s there were still some previous generation dominators. But he's racing people he's beat & needs to get that mental edge back
All the planets aligned for Tomac. He has the perfect formula for winning and that’s exactly what he does. Absolute legend. I had the chance to race him locally at a sand track in sterling CO. He was still on a supermini and checked out from all the local pros on 250’s and 450’s. He was probably 13-14 years old!
Love to see someone like him who shows respect to his parents snd works hard at what he does. He puts himself in position to win but then works his butt off, he does not expect just to win but by putting himself in that spot and following it up by hardworking. Staying humble success will come when you work for it
It seems like to me Tomac training up at I think 8500 ft or something like that, Which is higher than any track on the circuit indoors or out, so it seems like when he comes down in elevation to race with all that extra oxygen it's like he's got a turbo on his body and his bike, while we have seen several people pull out of races not being able to deal with the high elevation.
Which is likely why most Olympians and endurance atheltes train here in Colorado. Why more don't is beyond me. Florida has heat but training with les oxygen(15-20%) does way more for endurance.
It’s better to have been born and raised in that high elevation which one can’t do later in life. People can acclimate all they want but will never compare to someone like Eli who was literally created in high elevation. Same goes for like the sherpas in the Himalayas, they r built different cuz of being born and raised in high elevation. Moving later in life won’t do enough
That Seattle Race i was there!!! it was super sick!!!! i was the only one standing up watching that race live everyone else sat down and they stood for 450s cause villipoto.. but he had already wrapped up the championship. and Dean took tomac off the track 2 times to pass him.. .and tomac would catch him clean and pass him easy. and then dean finally took him off the track a 3rd time and Tomac had enough. after the finish dean went wide and Tomac took the inside to take the line away and lost traction and dean didnt let off. that was by far the best seattle supercross race i saw in person. !!! amazing race.
