Downloaded the game yesterday and went with the hardest difficulty available. Fish guy keeps kicking my a**, but I'm loving every minute of it!

The whole game is like someone walking through their relationships,
They have the overbearing parent figure, the crazy lover, the patient yogi trying to teach you, The toxic friend, the paladin trying to change the world, The angel who wants to love you, the possessive Valkyrie, the relentless competitor, and the naive child all holding you back from your true potential, leading to the true confrontation.
The Voice? that was you, the architect of all your relationships, your boundaries needed to be overcome to face the force that set you on your path of selfishness and destruction.
It seems you described my relationship history bar the Valkyrie and the naive child. Luckily I still have time to meet them too!
And it's fascinating that you can misjudge all of them at the time and not truly understand them until it's too late.

watching this video brings me back memories of when i sat down with my big sister and i watched her play it for a few hours, as well as going with her to get the vinyls of the game's ost, and the poster she also had of the game

I love how the only 2 kids in the game have no comment or questions about Rider. They just casually stare like he's some stranger and NOT a guy that killed (probably) countless planets

Almost quit this game when I got to The Edge......took me 17 days to just barely beat him with a fraction of a heath bar left.....almost broke my xbox controller when I spiked it one time. Had to limit myself to only playing him one run per day or else I became furious and screamed out loud and often using obscenities....I'm not proud of that. I'm on The Flame right now. Regaining my footing after the repeated beatings...after all, "We are what we repeatedly do." I repeated lost so according to The Edge then, I was a loser. Time to reclaim my true identity! Hupernikao!!!!!

Has assuming manual control ever worked for anyone not already using it?
This game looks and sounds amazing. The voice acting can be a little janky at times and I really wish they'd fleshed out a couple of the bosses a little more with cutscenes and better dialogue
The only problem with this game is that the cutscenes are too short to enjoy the BANGER music.

Incredible game. I have a theory that the developers main influence for making this game was life itself. To succeed in real life....is that not the ultimate boss fight? This is a game I would buy twice: digital download and a hard copy. Not to mention, its a great exercise in mental concentration. :)

this reminds me of that one game where you have to fight fallen angels and comb through different levels of heaven. i forget the name of it but its very visually similar to this. its on xbox one right now for 6 bucks, i might scoop it up.

Hi there, that's a part of the music of the path leading to The Burst. You can only hear it in the game, when arranging the music for the OST, Carpenter Brut did not include that part in the corresponding track "You're mine". You just have to play the game again and again :)

This is one of the best games of the gen, I really enjoyed it on Xbox. But oof, I'm pretty disappointed in the dumb use of missable achievements/trophies in this game.
I think some devs just don't get it, in terms of how achievements/trophies work. Sigh.
Specifically I'm referring to "My Only Chance" for meeting with The Voice in the Free World. As soon as my end credits finished, I ran straight to the big tower in the middle. Had no clue the Free World could actually be explored for real. And I don't know this yet, haven't confirmed, but seems like I will have to beat all 9 bosses again just to have a crack at "My Only Chance". That's the only thing I'm disappointed with. The game is still a solid 5/5 and one of the best games I've played on Xbox... really fantastic, absolutely amazing game.
Damn I just did an A-rank playthrough and had a blast and ended up getting the Your Only Chance trophy. So... I'm not annoyed or miffed anymore lol. Either way, before and after, my score was still gonna be 5/5. Loved this game so much.

Currently stuck on the 4th boss. :p I can't believe I even beat the 3rd boss, this game is super hard. :O Sigh... although in some ways, it kind of feels like the hardest thing is more like... having good reflexes and timing for the duel parts of the fights, and making sure you can dodge superpowered shockwaves and stuff. :p Because honestly, half of boss 3 and 4 seem kind of easy actually. :? Not even sure why Boss 2 also gave me a hard time at the end, but... sigh... yeah. :p
Sigh... for some reason though, I've also been having really bad indigestive problems and all sorts of fatigue so I'm arguably not quite as good and focused as I used to be a few months/years ago... sigh... but at least I got that far at least, I suppose. :p Sigh... yeah...
Anyways, I only know this game exists and got it thanks to Mori Calliope, LOL. :p She plays cool games.

Just now discovering this game very stylish if not a bit long winded.. It seems empty devoid of enemy mobs and friendly npcs i didn't see any weapon upgrades or armor choices either. Story narrative based this isn't a game it's an experience.

This game reminds me a bit of No More Heroes. I don't like how you have to watch the protagonist walk through minutes of scenery between each match. Like I get that you want o squeeze in some lines for the rabbit-head guy, but one sentence every 5-10 seconds is really annoying. I found myself hitting the right arrow key constantly. It should be one continuous flow an now just awkward shifts between wide angle shots of the level's map with one or two sentences between each angle. Also, his voice is very monotone and grates on the ears. For a guy that sounds like he's pissed off or upset, he says his lines like he's analyzing ingredients off a cereal box. "High fructose corn syrup. It's not very healthy, you know. I much prefer real sugar. Why don't people put real sugar into cereal? I really should buy healthier cereal for my daughter. A cereal without artificial ingredients." You couldn't sound less droning if you tried.
Ill buy this from nintendo japanese eshop and buy 100 yen but this game is s..t
