lmfao! I been listening to this song nonstop for like over a week now, and tonight it just hit me where I've heard it lol. literally got flashes of that guy dancing and it all clicked lol
Yeah, maybe on the recordings! lol sorry sorry just making a joke! I say it with love! For anyone who cares, I love the man and Deftones are top 3 favorite bands all time! he influenced hundreds of millions of musicians! ✌🏻 and respect guys
@@jbmp1390 yeah i mean things always sound a little different live but it sounded very similar. i feel like this one has a little bit more of a "dance" flavor to it, then again i'm drawing on a memory from 5 years ago so i'm not positive. also i distinctly remember chino having a michael jackson quality to his voice when he did it live. i remember him doing that michael jackson hiccup thing between verses if you know what i mean haha i don't really know how else to describe it. also a quick/fun Chino moment from this show. the tour bus was right in front of the club where the show was and my gf and i saw him getting on the bus so i was like "jenna stand right there and i'll get a pic of you with chino in the background" and he saw what we were doing and walked right over and posed for a photo with her. it was awesome.
was lucky enough to catch crosses live in Brooklyn years and years ago, they played this live, might of closed with it, have the setlist somewhere still but glad to hear a studio version
Such an amazing cover that we needed in our lives. Chinos voice is so hypnotizing and perfect like always. I can’t wait to hear the full album! Thank you
So glad they did a studio version of this cover! I know they did some live in studio for something (I think it was for some site called Daytrotter) which had this and a few other songs from the first Crosses album
When I was young and first heard it in the movie, it was just the Buffalo Bill track. Creepy. Then I was suddenly middle aged.... the sweetness and cruelty of 32 years of life makes it hit way different.
Sorry to be late, but yea, I totally agree. It's a good song about facing one's darkness. It's a shame it's been so overshadowed by the movie. Even in my own mind. I have to try to push the image of Buffalo bill dancing in a kimono 😂 out of my mind to enjoy the song. But whoever put the song together with that scene is genius. It is definitely iconic. Edit: Reminds me of the clockwork orange singing in the rain scene. Just disturbing but amazing how well it works together.
You guys 1up'd the whole music world by bringing this back. Fantastic work, guys. P.S. Coincidentally, Fangoria had named my drumset "Buffalo Bill, because of its natural 'flesh toned' color. Thought I'd throw that out there. All the best to you guys. Happy New Year!
Does anyone else hear the Prince bit crushed snare drum sound panned right? I love that sound. There was one drum machine that could make that sound outright...the Roger Linn LM-1. Super expensive. That sound made Purple Rain.
@@BananaCologne I believe the song in question is "The Cross". I know posting links is kinda frowned upon among some people, but here you go: th-cam.com/video/ly6u6rM1Bb8/w-d-xo.html
The drums have that 80s sound reminiscent of Prince & The Revolution's - When Doves Cry. Less up front though sure does have that new wave vibe and oh so cool.
This song is tucked firmly into my memory.
🤣
Tucked flaccidly

This is the greatest comment I've ever read
I pushed this as far back as I could.
This song was like "Would you cover me? I'd cover me."
I'd cover me HARD
Pretty funny. so true.
Lmaoo best comment ever

Funniest pun right now.
Chino = master of covers. Impeccable choices, always, and his voice and what he brings to the table... oh, you already know.
I’m still hoping for a Chino cover of “Easy Lover”
Yesssss
is he a great big fat person?

Whenever I feel bad I listen to this song and everything gets better
Such an iconic song...wasn't to sure about this cover but I find myself listening over an over.
Chino sounds fucking AMAZING on this..just pure , raw, emotional perfection, and Sean delivers as always too. The recording quality is perfect too.
I feel like Chino is really in tune with what covers I would like him to do lol. Everything this man touches turns to gold in my opinion
This is amazing
I have listened to this 100 times now
Definitely the best cover for this song out there
I didn't think this song could get any better and then I hear this 🖤
One of my favorite songs covered by one of my favorite musicians
Chino did a respectful and faithful, beautiful cover ❤🎉
Chino could sing about taking a dump and it would still be a masterpiece.
I mean... Pink Cellphone

Getting the best silence of the lambs vibes off this beautiful cover boys! Never let me down!
I think that Buffalo Bill liking this song proves that he is just a human and not a monster, and that in turn makes the scene more terrifying.
i would never have thought i would live to see the day Chino covers Goodbye Horses. I am gonna die happy now
The original version is so ingrained in my being but this one is so perfectly taking over
The orig vers. is twice as long as this one, I wonder why they shortened it? I wou;da lengthened it and jammed out on that beat....
I like this one because they save the Goodbye Horses chorus for very deep into the song so it just like slowly builds to that
