Oysters and lemon mignonette - Common flavors put together that have to be broken down and deconstructed, foreshadowing what happens to the guests. This is meant to be taken as Chef throwing down the gauntlet. Amuse Bouche - More foreshadowing. Charred lace - crater. Milk snow - ash from the fire. Cucumber and melon - the guests. The Island - Scallop on a rock - Chef presenting himself to the guests. Plants - "in the weeds" Breadless bread plate - straight up snarking at picky customers. But you can also make a case for Lilian's plate having a broken emulsion on purpose as his way of saying SHE'S as useless as a broken emulsion. Memory - Self explanatory The Mess - Pressurized vegetables - literal pun. Bone marrow - blood. Beef jus - sweat. Potato confit - tears. As a whole, it's essentially a dead body with blood pouring out. It even has a hole for the bullet. Man's Folly - Plum vinegar exists because of Umeboshi, whey plays a vital part in making yogurt, sea kelp and lettuce are what keeps the oceans biome from wreaking havoc. But everyone either doesn't know that or forgets, because they don't taste good, aren't as attractive, or can be very difficult to work with in their natural form. It's the same with women, especially when they try to speak out against unfair treatment like what the chef describes. They get called things like "bottom feeders", like crabs. Final scene with Margot/Erin eating the cheeseburger - She didn't care about giving him peace of mind. She just wanted to survive. And Chef acknowledged that. Using his menu as a napkin - She never believed anything he said for one second. She is, in fact, a taker that knows her worth. And that's why she lived.
This movie was so different than others. Love the Chef, Ralph Fiennes is such a great actor. It is a good psychological thriller with several things you think you figure out then totally different things happen. I enjoyed your comments and reactions as usuall!❤
There’s a newish theory that Slowik used over-aged, bacteria riddled beef to poison Margot, but I don’t buy it: I genuinely believe she gave him surprise and delight
I don't agree with it because it just doesn't make any sense. He even tells her that she shouldn't have been there and even exposed how she was taken there knowing she'd die. Doesn't make sense to tell her she shouldn't be there only to poison her in the end.
@@ACinemafanatic He wouldn't have killed her. He knew her to be a service worker like him. She gave him the desire to cook one last meal, the cheeseburger.
I’m sure someone has already mentioned this, but it wasn’t the one guy’s birthday, it was a joke. That’s why the other guy said, “It seemed funny three hours ago.”
My favorite part of this movie is the ending scene, I can feel Slowik happiness when he was ordered to make Cheesrburger. God, to feel pure happiness in your work again is such a bliss.
My two favorite things about this movie are how they cue up all these things where you think you see something coming and then they go in a different direction. Plus it's all about a restaurant that charges thousands of dollars per meal and that cheeseburger at the end is the only food that makes your mouth water. Such a good movie.
Being from the panhandle of Florida aside from going all the way to Disney once, every year our family vacation was scalloping! I’m with mom on the scallops 0:33 ❤❤❤❤
Ive have been battling depression lately and dealing with the loss of two family members in just a few weeks. I need to tell you how much your channel helps me get my mind off of everything. You three are my comfort spot, I enjoy watching these videos so much. Thank you for being you. Much love.
The original idea for the actor was to use Daniel Radcliff as an exaggerated version of himself. But eventually they got John Leguizamo who created a character he based on Steven Seagal.
I would you never for that amount of food and only get one uncooked scallop when I can get fresh ones from a seafood market or off the bay for cheaper or free.
I mean some people don’t need student loans because they get full ride or other things like that isn’t on her and most certainly not her fault that he didn’t. But reasoning with him is not going to work because logic wouldn’t help you.
Ladies I love your reactions but I always find I have to turn the volume up and down as you're louder than the movie, so when you scream the mic sound cracks and breaks, respectfully can you invest in better mics or maybe push the mics further away, i dunno, again I say this respectfully
The point of the movie is that people treat the costumer service wokers like they ain't .... Especially people that was born into privilege families they don't know how to work for anything and as far as her date goes the chef felt that calling Mr Sunshine was big before but than sold his soul to do low budget and embarrassed himself while making that movie. Now you have the 3 theive, the adulterer, the 2 job killers and the one who thinks he knows everything. Unless you are a service worker or have worked as one you won't get this movie
The fake rescuer at the end was the scallop fisherman at the beginning - remember, you only saw him from the back.
Erin gave Slovik the experience of a good, appreciative customer who just wants to get fed.

I don't buy it either. I don't think chefs who are obsessed with getting the food perfect would serve subpar meat.

The director and screenwriters said she lived so that theory is pretty much out the window
That would have ruined the whole point of the movie

Chef: “Doesn’t he look wonderful, Margot? Doesn’t he look good.”
Chef’s mom: “Handsome boy.” 🤣🤣

It's the only menu he cooks by himself

My appreciation for a well-made simple cheeseburger increased big time after watching this movie for the first time!
Nicholas Hoult is an excellent actor. He's hilarious in The Great
You were all so nervous watching this, haha. I enjoyed that reaction. Good thing everyone enjoyed the movie.

Scallops, Lobster and Tacos, classic and elegant menu! :D

Have you guys seen The Eras Tour movie? I think that would be a great/popular reaction!
I would you never for that amount of food and only get one uncooked scallop when I can get fresh ones from a seafood market or off the bay for cheaper or free.
She didn't tip him for the burger: he said it cost $9.95, so she paid him $10.00. In cash.
You don't tip the Chef.

You've all watched Marvel movies. I'd love these 3 react to X-Men 97.
