Measure, Cut, Fit, Huge tiles #tile #howtotile #shorts #measuring The larger the tile the more waste if you screw up a cut by cutting it too short or just cutting it wrong. So it is important to be sure that you measure the size of the cut correctly and then transfer those measurements to the tile accurately. Take extra time and be sure to cut that very large tile correctly the first time. When the tiles are smaller it is not quite as critical, if you screw up a cut on a subway tile, no big deal, just cut another one. If you cut a large 4' x2' tile incorrectly, you just wasted 8 square feet of tile, and you usually don't have a lot of extra tiles to just toss out. Wow!!! Beautiful job.
Sal! May you please make a video on how to do clean installation? I’m struggling with keeping my install clean and always have thin set in the grout lines, on my hands, on my pants on my t-shirts.
Great job Sal, like the rag soaking up the water , it is a problem with big tile water gets all over the floor i end up cutting outside most of the time.
Hey Sal! Nice videos! What tile saw is that you’re using?

Your trick of the rag to keep the water from going anywhere will be such a help on my next job. I have the same saw and this is going to be the fourth job I’ve needed it for and had so many issues before because of the water running everywhere.
Thanks for the videos 👍🏼
😊👍

The simple hack of... using a tape measure and pencil? Incredible.
Haha go watch his other videos, he’s one of the best out there.
@@wasntme3651 I don't doubt it, but using a tape measure for this isn't a hack.

The hack of using tape to mark your measurements on a tile that would be hard to do otherwise.
Most tile setters don't even pull the tape measure out the tool bag.
Just flip the tile backwards and mark your cuts. On a biggie tile, ok, let's throw a tape up.
Hey Sal can you please help me out with two questions. Im currently remodeling my floor and bought a 9x46 porcelain tile wood look. And have a 3/8 trowel. Would you recommend still back buttering jt ? And last and my most important question is. I need your help with the type of pattern you recommend for a wood look oak porcelain tile ? Please and thank you
You need a deeper trowel, for those tiles, 1/2" deep or even more. Set a few tiles, check the coverage and adjust the size of the trowel until you get at least 80% coverage, and yes back butter those tiles. Random pattern is the best for wood look plank tiles in my opinion.
Thanks for replying to your viewers, Mr. Sal. I just subscribed today.
