That and there has been zero social activity from the devs afaik, because there's no public information on the game and no way to contact the creator! I can get that they might be worried that Nintendo will crack down on them like they did all the fangames on GameJolt, but that doesn't excuse not having a public beta after this long...
The project started before 2014 and it still not done, i don't think it's going to be full anytime, the devs if the devs keep being like it's not enough stuff, then it will never be fully released or even playable for normal people without a big youtube channel
If I were making this game, I'd have Wario, Waluigi, Toad, Toadette and Princess Peach as playable characters, but knowing me I'd probably add them once the final version was released

Yeah Candy Arcade style is from FNAF fangame called Five nights at Candy's 3 and it's a minigame in that game as well. So glad that they used that as a game style in Mario Multiverse.
It was the time before, the fan games were actually for all fans. Now a days, sadly, its limited to (1) Famous Persons, (2) Known Person, and (3) Friends of Known Persons. Period. :(

NSMB Looks quite good ! Mario Arcade is the prettiest of the "weird" styles IMO. As for my favourite it's definitely tied between Endless World, NSMB Retro and Yoshi's Island. I would love to see a Wario Land 4 theme from the GBA! And seeing the "feature-set" from Yoshi's Island and Wario Land 4 included in all styles would be cool (so carrying Baby Mario around and charging with Wario's shoulder and all :) )
