1. He realized he'll be unable to get another star player as he promised
2. The D'Angelo Russell trade blew up in his face. Instead of getting rid of Swaggy P and the one or two other mediocre players that were beefing with Russell, who are all gone now anyway. Instead he let go of the 20yr old player he should've guided and developed like other franchises do.

It was the system, I'm sure he'll be better next year and they'll run that pick and roll for him more often. But Magic was right, they needed spacing and shooting so they traded for a guy with a 45% 3pt shooting resume but he ended dropping by quite a bit lol then everybody got hurt and the rest is history. Hopefully Bullock will be back in shooting form next year if he's still there, hopefully the system they run through Bron and Lonzo will do that, shooters typically do very well with Lebron.
