Yeah I'm Filipino, I wasn't looking for ours because they're not that famous, but Indonesia at least. Especially Singapore. Oh well ramen is a Japanese word anyway.
For Buldak (and other brands of stir fry style instant noodles), you're supposed to drain most of the water (leave a ilttle) then mix in the sauce packet. It's a stir fried style noodle, not a soup/broth based noodle.
Note that cup noodles ( the cheap stuff in every company lunchroom - lol ) is better this way as well. Drain nasty broth, just eat the noodles after adding some pepper.

I found that a half teaspoon of bacon grease adds a great flavor.
It sucks so bad to have to keep telling amazing youtubers to stop working with Betterhelp. Really, its just completely unethical. You’re great Andrew, and there should be enough other sponsors.
How so?
@@chubblesnz just google it, please. But in short, saddling people with serious problems with unqualified therapists (that is dangerous, when someone is suicidal for instance) taking and selling sensitive data from customers and so on.
The buldak isn’t spicy because you mixed it with water, if you have it just the sauce it gets you
I imagine they cooked it like the instructions tell you to. I'm pretty sure the Buldak instructions have you mix the sauce in the water.
Plus I don't think he tried the spiciest version of it, which even when mixed with water put me on the toilet about 10 minutes after taking 2 bites (I couldn't finish it and neither could my girlfriend who bites into raw habaneros.)
@@CreativityNull yeah no the buldak u need to drain the water after boiling the noodles. then add the spice sauce packet. the cup versions even have holes so you can drain it using the package it comes with
@@CreativityNullThey tell you to keep a cup or 1/2 a cup (can't remember which), but you don't even need that much
@@Macantor13 The one I have in my pantry (black Buldak - spicy chicken flavor) has you keep 8 tbsp of water (which is 1/2 a cup). I normally keep it less, just because I like the more concentrated flavor
@@arwen_candl they said they cooked it to package directions (I missed that part earlier and found it) so I'm not sure what you're seeing that they didn't
the stew buldak would have made more sense to be included in this ranking since it actually has the noodles in a broth. the noodles are also thicker.
Buldak noodles are NOT noodle soup...read the instructions: they're stir-fried noodles. Dry noodles at best. Making it a noodle soup with lots of water ruins the flavor.
The way you get maruchan to taste stronger is to drain the water you boiled it in and then apply thr powder and give it like a quarter cup of hot water. It makes the flavor so much stronger.
I like to crunch it up and drain all the water and put the seasoning in so it’s like fake rice
I learned you can microwave the perfect pack of maruchan by crushing up the noodles and adding just enough water to cover the noodles. Microwave 4 minutes and it comes out perfect every time
@@64BitArtist that’s EXACTLY how I do it
Heres a wild idea. Babish taste tests dehydrated backpacking meals! Not really on brand but I'd love to see his reactions to them lol.
Lolz 😂 tortured by babished
Clearly, there was no Asian around during production to instruct them how to properly prepare instant ramen
Oriental
You don't need to be Asian. You just need a functioning brain and the ability to read. I got some of these Bulduk noodles from Amazon, and I didn't have any problem making them with a thick sauce like people are describing.
I act hefty amounts of truffle seasoning to my chicken ramen and it is AMAZING
The habanero lime Buldak has coriander in it, which is cilantro seeds. That might be why you were tasting cilantro. I didn’t go through the comments to see if anybody else has said this already.
pretty sure there was an illustration of cilantro on the package, too
Coriander is not cilantro seeds, it just the normal name for cilantro 😉. Coriander seeds are cilantro seeds.
😂😂 at least in the US it appears the leafy portion tends to be called cilantro while the seeds are called coriander. It is all the same plant. Yup. Coriander seeds are cilantro seeds from a coriander plant that is also a cilantro plant. 🌱
@@keekspostalservice yeah I believe cilantro is just the Spanish word for coriander
@@keekspostalservice that's confusing! Either call both cilantro or both coriander! 😂
NO INDOMIE!???!!?!?!??
Bro that would dethrone every single one of them.
Gross
Indomie is meant to be a stirfried noodle, not a soup. I agree that it's probably better but they're different categories.
@@mistertestsubject there are indomie noodles as soup, although not as popular as their stir-fry counterpart
@zephylest2218 I'm sure there are, but for the most part they're known for their stirfry style noodles so it wouldn't really be a worthwhile inclusion
their noodles are trash quality
The tastes like “a human chicken” really almost made me burst out laughing in my quiet office
Like a chickeny version of Long Pork
The Samyang Buldok Quattro Cheese Ramen is my absolute favorite flavor. Carbo used to be my favorite before. Such a great flavor, but with all the Buldok flavors you have to be able to handle a lot of heat. This Ramen bites back.
Nongshim makes a tonkotsu ramen bowl that I think is actually pretty decent. They also make a Neoguri line, which has a thicker udon like noodles with typically seafood like soup mixture with bits of kombu included in it. Give them a try.
Yes, the one with the black garlic oil is wonderful.
I have to find this
Hear me out: ranking every flavor of hamburger helper.
i need to see that
Yes! This needs to happen for every '80s kid
I gotta agree with everyone, the Buldak should’ve had way less water. Though, I would put those in their own category anyways since they’re more of a stir-fried noodle, and I still think they’d be beat out by Indomie (if featured.) Best highdea I’ve ever had was putting some kewpie, corn, fresh squeezed lime juice (and some zest,) and cotija on the 2X spicy Buldak. Basically elote ramen 🤌🏽
If we’re going ramen with broth, Shin Black is probably my favorite that’s available in pretty much every grocery store around.
After coming back to this from the comment-suggested recipes, I ask: *WHERE IS YOUR CUP OF GATORWINE, BABISH!? How can you get a true taste test without it?*
I've never seen someone eat instant ramen so aggressively that they bite their chopsticks 😂
I thought he was trying to mix in asmr into his videos
