Dr Ryan, you helped me a lot through my INDBE exam prep, and now on the schools interviews too. In the name of all foreign dentists like me, trying to obtain a license in the US, thank you for your videos and your dedication!!

    Dr. Ryan,
As a pre-dental student, I can say that this channel has been a lifesaver. Being able to access all of your resources and series has been a great way to get my feet wet, and has paid off well with my time in and out of dental offices! Thank you so much!

My last year of college, I ran a side-hustle of coaching/tutoring premed and predent students.
FWIW this is my biggest tip number 1 tip for interviews! I've never heard anyone else ever suggest, but I really believe it's money...
Step 1) Come up with 3-5 "themes" for yourself. These are general topics/ experiences, which demonstrate a positive personality trait that you can elaborate on. Think Experience/topic you can really talk about and have a conversation about and a corresponding positive trait.
So to simplify in a mathematical way: Experience/Topic + Corresponding personality trait(s).
You can use the same topic for more than one trait... but its best to diversify.
Example: I played rugby in college. Demonstrates ability to work with a team.
The advantage of this is you always have an answer and a story if needed. They ask about whatever and you already sort of preplanned ideas you can steer the conversation to.
Step 2) Very Important!! Research the school. For one it will give you additional topics to discuss. A good thing to have in your back pocket is a question for the interviewer. So you flip the roles a little bit. Makes it appear that you know what's up and also plays a little "hard to get".
BUT more importantly, you're going to take your research and come up with 2-3 "themes" for what you believe the school is looking for in a student. And you're going to take the school's "themes" and match them to your own. Now these "matched themes" are going to make up the bulk of your interview responses.
I hope the people stumbling accross this find this idea very helpful and use it to make their interview much more organic/easier.

Thanku Dr Ryan! I hope to meet you one day and personally thank you 😊 I happened to see my score recently when the ADA website had a technical glitch and I was so happy to know that I scored really good! Now I hope to get admission in a dental school and I am coming back to your channel for refreshing some topics and taking tips for interviews.. 😊 Thankyou so much 🙏🏻😃

Thank you Dr. Ryan for this wonderful interview tips. I want to ask you if you have made any videos on dental bench test?

You're very welcome! Not at this time, but would love to do something like that in the future! In the meantime, I do have several clinical videos on composite and amalgam preparations and restorations on the channel that may help for a bench test.
