Let's talk setup. It looks like you have a serious understeer if you overcharge at all, but you also have bad traction. That's only on the first couple laps. It's just a cold tire push. After that, it's all front end, but you still have the bad traction. Any time you ask more of the front mid-corner, you have to chase the tail. Soften the rear spring/bar package until you can put power down and then add rake if you need to rebalance. Good Race!
Part of it was cold tire push, 51* and Cloudy according to the notes. The other issue is I've never set bump steer on the car and I know it's waaaay off. Also, Toyo RRs will scream a bit before they're actually sliding. Traction is usually good except for over the hill into Thunder Valley. Part of that is running 2nd gear and overpowering the tires, but I was extra down on power this year. So, I was trying to get all the acceleration I could and ended up overdriving the car in certain places. In 2018 they raised the minimum weight to 2900lbs and the tired ol' 305 was only making about 300whp. I could have made 325whp, that's why I get yanked down the straights until his tires go off. Setup is usually a compromise and this is a 2900lb car with 56% front. It's easy to drive the front tires off unless it's setup loose and sprint races aren't long enough to wait for them to come back. I don't mind correcting with the wheel as long as I don't have to lift.
