I get very overwhelmed by shopping so thrifting is even more intimidating for me but this video was a nice introduction into how you approach it and the amazing things you’ve found! the bonus is you mentioned the thrift stores in Ottawa you go to which makes figuring out where to start easy for me ☺️
Thrifting used to be super intimidating to me as well- we all start somewhere! My biggest tip is doing it in a way that feels fun to you (I usually grab a coffee and wear my headphones and listen to music/audiobook) so that you enjoy it. Also start slow- find 2-3 spots in the thrift store you go to and work your way up. At first I JUST thrifted for books, then I would walk around the home decor and only recently felt like I could add in the clothing without getting overstimulated and overwhelmed. So start with a section that excites you the most and go from there! Hope this helps❤️

@@patriciaparson608 This is a chatty channel- I make very chatty, casual vlogs. I know that's not for everyone which is totally okay but those are the videos I like to make.
I usually style my thrift finds in the following vlogs- I can definitely try to show it in the thrifting videos too but sometimes it takes time to find a home for things. We also have a fixer upper so I often thrift for home projects down the line so I don't always use stuff right away! But I do share a ton of styling in my vlogs and short form content. I'd say most of the thrifting is for future home decor or self explanatory things like blankets, tablecloths, mugs that we all know what we use them for! 😊
