Why is one black and the Knight a woman using sign language
Well one kid is black because his dad is black, and the knight is using sign language because she's deaf
Well... *inhale*
The older prince, Callum had a different father than the younger, Ezeran. He was born a few years before his mother married the King, when they had Ezeran. The mother was (now) queen was white and the father was black.
As for the deaf general. That's honestly all there is to it. She's the sister of the Queen and has always been deaf, and therefore signs (with her second in command translating to those who don't know sign language, which seems to be everyone that isn't Nobility so its a bit important).
As for why she's a Knight... idk man they thought it'd be interesting. Plus she and her sister were quite the warriors and leaders. Is it realistic historically? Ehh, probably not but maybe? But this is a fictional realm with Magic, Elves, Dragons, Phoenixes, and Indestructible Bread. Its not really reasonable to apply our history to it.
