    Hi Tom, just discovered your channel tonight and it blew my mind. Already hooked and subscribed. WELL DONE!

    Blimey, what a tank! You make an interesting point: a pre/power pair costing $12.5k a piece wouldn't seem as expensive as a $25k integrated. The psychology of pricing, I suppose.

    Thoughts on pairing this with TAD CEX1?

    Thank you for your review. And thank you for skipping the tech info and keeping it interesting.
    If possible, I would love to hear your comments on another fine integreted amplifier, the Power one, from Accustic Art.

    How many people on earth spend 25K on an integrated amp? Just trying to understand who this video is for.

    • @FranzVonFitzenstrahl
      @FranzVonFitzenstrahl ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would in a heart beat. And yes Im an high end audiophile..
      Ask your self this question.. who would pay 100k for a car? Its only transportation, right? Or who would spend 30k on a watch? Its only showing time? ..If there is a demand and a market, and some people can afford it. Why not sell it.

      I know there are levels to this. But levels to levels, then taking it to another level is what is going on here.
      This is like having access to the executive lounge, many can go. Then there are those few that can do the top floor penthouse. This is getting off the top floor penthouse and having the card to get roof access.

    Am I the only one what will address the elephant in the room? How old is this reviewer? Can he even hear? These old dudes making these review videos is getting old, pun intended. Men don't hear as good as women to begin with, not to mention old men. Women should be doing the reviews, and young women at that. Second, how much money did Burmester pay this channel to do this review? It would be nice if this could be addressed for transparency and honesty to everyone listening to the review. Lastly, this is a very old model that is no longer in production. What is the purpose of this review? The Grip is also known as damping factor, all Burmester amps have very high damping factor, which is important, but doesn't necessarily mean high quality sound. Lastly, sound quality of Burmester is questionable due to the low quality of the capacitors they use. If you recap the amp and pre-amp section, it truly comes alive, but you have to actually know to do that, it's not good enough to be a reviewer. So, better luck next time! ;)

    I bet a Bryston pre/power combo beats that hands down.

    • @davidjones7544
      @davidjones7544 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had Bryston separates and I doubt that. Bryston does have that same grip though. All that said, this was the Bryston 4BST with the BP26 not the 4B3 with the new preamp. But having heard Burmester gear, it as superior in every way, but maybe Bryston has upped their game.
      One thing though, you cannot beat Bryston's customer service and 20 year warranty. I had to use it because a speaker terminal cracked it's solder connection. I shipped it there and got it back within two weeks. Super company to deal with. That's worth a lot imo.

      @vagomaniac ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidjones7544 True! But sound wise, burmester was softer an with an annoyingly wide soundstage. I mean you have to balance it with height too. I don’t know I remember I wasn’t very impressed especially for the price. Very stable though.

    • @davidjones7544
      @davidjones7544 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vagomaniac That IS annoying I know what you mean. Burmester in the past had some shortcomings with their speaker designs but that was a while ago.
