The DD 250-CA cannot program the tool to slow down at a specific depth; however, you can use the Depth gauge DD-HD30-ES to stop the travel of the tool at a specific depth. The Depth gauge is clamped to the column of the drill stand to restrict the travel of the tool motor and carriage. We have 3000 holes to drill at work 2” diameter by 20” deep. We were told by your hilti sales rep of what we needed. He sold us a Hilti DD-150 BT with the cut assist and recirculating water system. I wish we could get our almost $10,000 back. We drilled about 30 holes so far in 3 weeks because this thing has so many issues. First we couldn’t get the cut assist to work so they sent out a female hilti rep to show us. Yeah that was 2 hours we lost at work because she knew this machine as much as we did!!!! She knew nothing!!!! So we then eliminated the cut assist and went to manual. Now every time the water recirculating system is beeping low water even though it’s full. We found out it was the float getting stuck and still sticks constantly. So we eliminated that. Now we have a water hose and doing it manually. What a waste of time. And we were hoping to get 3 more set ups but after this chaos I doubt our company will buy more. Oh by the way a week after the fist lady came by to show us she came back with another young lady. And yeah neither one knew how to operate that system again!!!!! Frustrated customers who paid almost $10,000 for a crappy system a salesman said would work for us!!!!
