    What if the bank puts in a dispute and I didn’t ask for, only a removal of Automatic Payments stop them! The merchant was never contacted, nor any money taken out, per the merchant! Why would I pay back the bank for making a mistake that I didn’t ask for? Thank you, Cynthia:)

    Why would Merchant bother about pre-aribitrarion once he sent back the representment. It's issuer who still believes that cardholder is right, will go for pre-aribitrarion process. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    • @ezeefied
      @ezeefied  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that is correct . basically in the slide what I wanted to convey is the despite pre arbitration is where the cardholder can present evidence again , merchant can still disagree and appeal

      Hi Ganesh , Firstly thank you for liking the content . pls do share with you friends and colleagues who may be interested as well. Payments is a huge domain and there a quite a few things that I am yet to cover for example transaction pricing , end of the day settlement systems , PCI standards etc. They will be released in due course of time . I would suggest to read a bit online on these topics as well. Other than that there may be certain areas and things that may be more relevant to your profile as business analyst these days is a very versatile profile and wears multiple hats .Hope this helps

    Doesn't the Cardholder raises Pre-Arbitration process when the decision of chargeback process not in favor of the Cardholder?

    • @ezeefied
      @ezeefied  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      apologies for late reply , someone else above had some point . that is correct . basically in the slide what I wanted to convey is the despite pre arbitration is where the cardholder can present evidence again , merchant can still disagree and appeal

    As you informed that Merchant will get a chance to get his money back
    ? In the Frist Level Merchant is Lost with the Provided Documents, How can the merchant raise a complaint against Customer
    Can the Pre-Arbitration option use by Customer & Merchant??????

  • @SAURABH4731
    @SAURABH4731 ปีที่แล้ว

    There seems discrepancy in monochrome and color coded slides!
    Pre-arbitration stages money movement is contradictory in both slides

    Hi Saurabh, Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I am quite new to cc payment domain. Just need 1 confirmation.
    we are an ecom merchant and use PGs like worldpay, payfort etc for accepting credit card payments. we have done an API integration via PG provided apis and get response from pgs basis which we process or reject the transaction.
    In response in addition to auth success we Get the ECI value. I under stand that if we get ECI value 5,6 for Visa and 1 for MC the fraud chargeback liability is on issuer and not on merchant and hence we can just go forward to process the transaction without any fear, bypassing all other risk rules set at our end. Is my understanding correct? what are the exceptions?

    Debit card was hacked. 1k posted transactions and then 21 consecutive pending transactions pending for 220$..on a card i might use 3,4 week on same stuff basically. Unreal. I just want to know why my bank didnt red flag the pending charges.

    • @ezeefied
      @ezeefied  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      banks have set of defined algorithms and systems that run based on those. In this case, check with the bank and ask them to see if they can add any additional authentication layer

    Hi Sir.. Thanks for the explanation in Payment dispute!!
    One doubt, in your example you mentioned sale transaction worth $100 has happened, then how can Card Holder can raise a dispute? Please clarify..

    • @ezeefied
      @ezeefied  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dispute can be raised after the sale and settlement of transaction in case you are not happy with the goods or service purchased or you think you have not used the card and there was a fraud activity
