Not, really. I am trying to connect two chromebooks were both have hdmi port, but when I connect them, the "mirror built in display" option is still not there...
So for those of you who aren’t getting your question answered: if the mirror option isn’t there it’s because you need to be attached to another device you want to mirror via an HDMI cord. I wasn’t seeing the mirror option until I connected my movie projector to my laptop.
Mine neither! Will SOMEONE please answer the question for the many who have a busted screen on one chromebook and who want to access it's content ffs!!!
It is built into chrome os. If your chromebook can do mirroring when you plug a second display in, it will show more then one display. You get to it by going to the right hand bottom of the chromebook where the settings are.

i have a 5`6 acer and my settings say display and doesnt that. I believe that I should because I have a built in hdmi port
