I was wondering the same thing. I was taught to use muslin, but this looks more like linen. It sure holds up to the needle and thread. She must trace the pattern too. She does beautiful work.

I bought a fabric in Puerto Rico that they call Estopilla Irlandesa but here in America I don't know what kind of fabric is that, but looks the same in fabric in the video
