The mechanics conundrum is always "is it better to have leftover parts or not enough parts" when you put stuff back together, there's always a nut or bolt somewhere
Being a mechanic rear struts are easy to replace, normally it’s only 2 rarely 3 bolts to take out, though there are some that are just a pain to replace where you only have half an inch to get the top bolt out.
As an actual mechanic, I can indeed confirm that no it is not that easy in real life. When you go to remove the transmission and you have to take exhaust off, but the exhaust bolts are so rusted they snap then you have to drill out the snapped bolts or go and change the exhaust manifold just because you needed to remove the transmission.
For me its when you’ve been working all day or night and you are torquing the last banjo bolt on the oil line, but you’re so tired you torque for ft/lbs instead of ft/in and that bolt say “ouch”. Guess I cant test if any of the work I just did fixed anything. Haha totally never happened to me.
When I did fly wheel replacement we had to use a whole bunch of extensions to get to the bolts and had 4 people to lift the transmission back so we can change the flywheel
@@Michael-qr2uw In germany we have a fictional word for making a pause. When you have to wait for something slow drink 1 beer and wait. It depends how long you want to wait hehe sometimes more than 1 Beer ofc. Its called: Bierlänge
I know it’s stupid but I’m just happy that drae puts tires on the correct way now with the star pattern lol. I know it’s just a game and it doesn’t matter but it drove me nuts when he didn’t lmao
Ohh that would be awesome to have multiplayer. Because there's too many orders to handle at once. Have a couple of guys work on separate cars... Nice comment and you know what. You Take Care & God Bless.
That "minimum %" value only refers to stuff that you actually need to fix, aka if it's listed as needing to be changed. Whatever part you swap it out with needs to be of that % or higher. It's for those who save all the spare parts from jobs, and repair them later on instead of buying new ones. As for scrapping and upgrading, you should only scrap parts lower than 15% durability. Reason being that you cannot repair stuff under 15% anyway. But before scrapping, it's a good idea to check what the junk sells for. I usually sell all junk that goes for 10+ CR, and scrap the rest. There's gonna be plenty of 1-5 CR junk piling up, and those are good for scrapping. As for what you actually do with the scrap, you upgrade parts to 1-3 star parts. Take note that you can't (yet?) repair upgraded stuff. This is a really late game feature though, for when you want to make a beast of a car with all the best parts. They sell for heaps of money, or.. just look pretty in the parking lot lol.. For those hard-core fanatics I guess.
Never really looked into games like this but you really made it look fun, and learning real car parts makes it even more cool Thank you for the great content! Anything with IGP coming soon?
im rly glad you took the cheaper parts skill rite at the start this time as i was **shocked** and kinda apalled that you chose a diff skill than that to begin with last time. Its just such a clearly obv first pick in any game xD That and exp gain are always my first pick in any game; sometimes grtly to my detriment when games let me keep pickin them each lvl and i get 8 lvls in without improvin my actual char ability xD
Drae, I believe the parts minimum percentages means the condition of the parts that you repair with. Meaning that, say, if a starter needs replacing, then you can replace the starter with something that is at that minimum percentage
6:397:07 I wooooooooooould looooove to hear you say those exact lines to workshop owners / technicians / customers and not have a wrench flew past you hahahahahahahaha 16:04 listening to you talking while the engine is cranking is just soooo entertaining somehow

I work on cars in real life and let me tell you. this is a treat when you can just go inside transparent cars and take a whole transmission out just by disconnecting the driveshaft and dismounting the starter. no worries about any of the wires or anything lol. let alone trying to bring it down with a jack and trying to wiggle it passed the exhaust system or a crossmember, which you also typically have to get out of the way to take one out. and god forbid the instant part delivery 😂😂
Absolutely loving your videos you are so entertaining and I'm learning at the same time I downloaded this yesterday so I'm watching the couple of your videos first if you if you want to be the best you have to learn from the best this is why I'm watching your videos

I laughed so hard when he says,"I hate liquids when I can't see when I fill so I do the brilliant idea of waiting till it overflows and and oops there it goes". 🤣
so from what i remember from car mech sim 2018 the repairing parts process is extremely hard and most of the time you brake the part instead of fix it because the chance of fixing it is so low because you dont have any skill to repair yet, you may have noticed that in the skills there was a repair chance percentage upgrade, it is probably worth it to try and fix them vs throw them away since there is a higher chance of fixing it trying to fix it rather than throwing it out or selling it for alike a dolllar lol
I saw you spend the skilland buy the scrappen whilehearing your reasoning and went... "NOOOOOOOOO" Restoration table is another upgrade (where you buy your new tools, right square. But for that you first need to buy the extra space. (I think it will total you about 15k to do both) Salvage: You are scrapping the part gaining scrap Upgrade: Can only be done with green parts, might be yellow as well, didn't try. Orange and red can only be scrapped. For upgrading it asks scrap. You can uupgrade each part 3 times. You can not upgrade bodywork but you can upgrade interior. (edit: just noticed this vid is a year old, you probably know by now lol)
Drae, parts must be repaired to a minimum of 72 percent from broken state. Meaning you could use old parts as long as theyre above minimum percent. Or replace with 100 percent new ones. Doesnt mean all parts need to be 72 percent. Just the replacement ones for broken parts. It also shows parts percentage in top left when you remove them. So when in doubt just pull it off and check. I would have saved my cash and just stripped the engine in the time spent.
They need to make a game where all simulator games are all in one big open world game and you can choose your career like gta but with jobs that are detailed
now someone needs to explicitly make a CAR WASH simulator, if that doesn't exist already. Now that I think of it, this is probably how Pressure Washing Simulator was born - some random guy's idea.
might be a little late on this but the thing you thought you needed to replace parts when it was at 72% is actually that they ask you to repair a part that is broken with one of minimum 72%. Hope that make sense
Salvege is like a melter you get a fictive part you can use to restore parts and upgrade to 3 star . If you want to get better is to salvege only red parts dont sell them you get less money for red parts but you get a change to get 1-3 parts to upgrade with.
heads up to save a lot of time, i figured out if you click the item in your shopping cart itll take u right to it. so u dont have to search it up everytime
they key to not forgetting what you have done is to not take aprt the whole frikkin car fiist lol, normal mechanics will do one job at a time, so say its spark plugs and wire do that and then move on to the timing belt and then once you get that done and back together to and do the clutch job, see keep it all in little manageable jobs
