    Your playing is the quintessential strat sound! Surf green is growing on me...

    Now see,.. This is awesome. Fender actually producing what it does best and at a great price. Sounds like the neck profile I'm always looking for. Very nice.
    (They were starting to scare me when that acoustic Strat hybrid came out, designed by some accountant at Fender trying to use up scrap wood.)

    I see James is really impressed with the "Vintera" name.

    I don't get it.
    Is the neck like an old 60s strat neck ? Or is it not a medium c neck and also not a 60d neck?

    Did these replace the Players Series?

    • @chris_2714
      @chris_2714 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Player series replaced the Standard series. These replace the Classic series.

    So Jonathan decapitated James, absorbed James’ power and stores said power in his beard? I missed the first season but I think Queen still did the musical score…

    Why don’t they make vintage feel guitars with medium jumbo fret and more modern radius (9, 5 or compound 8-10 or something else !). Who like vintage fret for bending ? Not me...But I love vintage feel, look and sound too !!!!! Any thoughts ?

    • @gonebymidnight2881
      @gonebymidnight2881 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly, they should aim at vintage looking instruments with a few modern appointments like 9.5-12 or 10-14 compound radius and locking tuners and new switching options.

    • @YogiSizzle2
      @YogiSizzle2 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@gonebymidnight2881 LOL there are literally guitars in this series with those exact features. The modified 50s has locking tuners, 2 point trem, MJ frets and 9.5 radius

    Great channel I love your guy's stuff
    Unfortunately the problem with these guitars is that Tim Shaw is involved with a pickups we all know how bad the American professional series sounds when he got his hands on it they sound nothing like a strat

      I think you might be pleasantly surprised with this guitar. Give it a try at the local shop to hear it in person.

    A new way to sell the MIM series for $800 instead of the price of a standard at $450.

    • @mattmanley7118

    • @chris_2714
      @chris_2714 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no standard series. It's the Player series now, which are miles ahead of the old standards. Worth the price difference. Looking forward to the Vintera guitars.

    • @tjnugent62
      @tjnugent62 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chris_2714 Chris, I know exactly what you mean. I was using the word "Standard" as the cheapest fender logo Strat/Tele from Mexico and not an actual series. The base series is now the Player Series... Yes. And yes, Fender has stepped up their game, but notice they are making a major rollout for the Vintera Series. My thinking says they are trying to get people to buy this and get used to spending that kind of money on a guitar from Mexico.

      @@tjnugent62 I mean Classic Series, Classic Players, and MIM sig models have been in this price range for years, its nothing new

  • @mattmanley7118
    @mattmanley7118 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your right n wrong here these have always been higher end Mex strats but I agree I can't see why people would buy these over the old classic series ones

    • @dansands6363
      @dansands6363 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      matt manley or why not just buy a used MIA Standard at this point... with how expensive they are.

    • @mattmanley7118
      @mattmanley7118 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dansands6363 that's an option and I agree they are pricey but if these come in a finish you want or have better specs I could see someone taking one of these easily over a used MIA pickup selection too is a personal preference all in all I think these will sell ok

    • @gonebymidnight2881
      @gonebymidnight2881 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A few lacquer models are presumably coming by the end of the year

    • @therangersinger
      @therangersinger 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I wonder if they are using legit steel trem blocks or the same old pot metal blocks traditionally used. I'm betting these do have legit blocks as the classic series did. But that alone would be a deal breaker for me. And the only thing good about a polyester finish is how easily you can remove it with a heat gun.

    • @gonebymidnight2881
      @gonebymidnight2881 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      therangersinger you can get steel blocks from Callaham and other makers and install it in minutes . I always install a Callaham blocks , even on American Strats no biggie.. specially given the price point of these MIM guitars.
