    Finally an electric car that focuses on efficiency over the pointless and mostly unuseable in everyday driving power and acceleration figures.
    If EV's are supposed to be better for the environment then making them efficient has to be the priority.

    • @jfv65
      @jfv65 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is true BUT power and acceleration SELLS. Tesla proved it. Without the HALO-car modelS the popularity of BEV's might not have taken off.
      If Tesla had made a car like Lightyear0 back in 2010 it probably would have flopped.
      But we live in 2022 and the time is probably right for cars like Lightyear0 and Mercedes EQXX for the high-end market.
      And Sonomotors Sion for the mid-market.

      This would permit more cars for the same batteries production.

      indeed, but aerodynamics can also help optimise acceleration and power figures, so it's a win win for companies to emphasize on aerodynamics regardless

      @flymypg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Eh.He. So, let's say Lightyear chose to remove one rear wheel and slide the other one to the center, with NO OTHER CHANGES to the vehicle. Would it suddenly also be a motorcycle? Clearly, other factors also matter beyond the number of wheels. If a 3-wheel vehicle meets ALL automotive crash and safety requirements, shouldn't that be enough to call it an automobile? Aptera is the ONLY 3-wheel vehicle maker whose vehicle will meet ALL automotive standards. Except for the number of wheels.

It is free, clean and accessible to everyone. That said, I had already told the Lightyear team that the look is 80% of the sales decision. There was better to do on this subject despite the technical constraints of solar capture. Best
