When Ellen was talking about her experience with the guy sitting next to her, it reminded me of a story from Reddit. Basically this guy went to see an imax movie a few weeks after release around 11 pm on a week night. He bought the perfect ticket, right in the middle because no one else was seeing it. Right before the previews started, this much older woman goes into the theater and sits right next to him. He thinks it's odd but said how he didn't mind. He later recounts how the whole time, the older woman was leaning away from the guy and visibly looking at him while tightly clutching her purse. She quickly took off right before the film ended. The guy said that he thinks she chose a random seat and thought that he purposely sat next to her to cause mischief. I believe I read this under weird/creepy theater experiences if anyone was wondering.
The seat one can easily be explained by the tribe or 'pack' mentality. Some people want to be by other people because it's kind of in our nature. It can be creepy but be completely innocent as humans naturally wanting to be around other humans
That makes sense but it's still a bit... odd. The same thing happened to me in a movie theater, it was only me and some family on the top row when this guy sat right next to my sister out of all the empty seats. It's just kind of creepy, especially if you and a stranger are alone.
4:05 Child marriages. CHILD MARRIAGES. Please, I come from India and child marriages are illegal here now but they weren't before, which caused BOTH THE CHILD BRIDE AND CHILD GROOM to loose their future. It pisses me off when they only see the girl's part and the boys are always thought of as creeps or something. They are kids too y"all, smh.
I remember a documentary about it and they covered a story of a kid under 10 who was married to a woman over 50. It's horrible for everyone. We tend to think that for girls is even worst because female under 10 can start their period and if an undeveloped body is forced through a pregnancy the damage always happens. With girls you add this sort of concerns. Psychologically is horrible and we must take into account that female predators are less in number but often on the violent side.
I’m in 9th grade. My science teacher (54 y.o.) has 2 kids. I recently found out from many sources that his oldest kid, he had with his ex wife (40 ish years old) and the new kid who is five years old he had with his new wife. Nothing too weird, but his new wife is in her mid 20’s. I later came to know that his current wife was one of his students! And that they got married 6 months after he divorced his ex wife.
I'm sorry, what??? If he and the girl had a five year old son together and they literally got married only six months AFTER he divorced his ex wife, you better BELIEVE he was cheating with a minor or some sh#t, ew
So about this one 7:25 something like this actually happened in my family 😅 My uncle and my aunt first met when she was in her last year of High School and he was in his first year of being a teacher. Their age gap is not too big, they're 6-ish years apart, so our family didn't think about it as something weird and blessed their union. Also the fact that this happened 35 years ago. Because by that time, in my country (Brazil), it was a very normalized and even encouraged thing to a young woman to marry a man at least a little older than her. Not that this is a bad thing per se, but I'm glad we're slowly leaving that aspect of our culture behind... As a young woman myself, I'm not too found of it, I would like to marry a man that's my age, thank you very much 😆
Speaking of Child Brides (who are forced into it) A lot of people are afraid to say this but if you agree with forced marriages(such as some arranged marriages)I automatically don’t like you and no “cultural differences” isn’t an excuse
7:38 My old high school principal proposed to a student at her graduation when he was a gym teacher there. They got married and had a girl who works at an elementary school in the same district and school as her mom. They are all co-workers.
My sister is working at the hospital and she heard this from one of her colleagues. There was a nurse who had broken her arm and the hospital didn’t want to give her the accommodations. SO they hired a private investigator who followed her around for a couple days. Then the hospital showed her a picture of her using her arm/cast to help hold the grocery bags. Her arm WAS broken but they didn’t want to provide accommodations so to disprove her injury they hired a private investigator.
The upskirt one made me uncomfortable! Like if I was wearing a skirt and somebody attempted to take a photo of my panties.... I slugged the hell out of them!
The fact that my village friend is 08 liner and got married last year and now she is going through a ✨divorce ✨. And there was a nasty rumor going around that she got an STD I then went asked if it is true and she conformed it was true. And now she can't even continue her studies because of all of these. I am the same age as her and even adviced her to not to do it but miss girl really want to have a 29 year old husband at the age of 12 and go through all of this. Sad to say that, yep child marriage still a thing.
the one with proffesor and students of high school getting together one it also kind of depends on the age right ? like i once had a teacher who was litterally just five years older than us (but i dont think he dated any students)
The one about the parking across the street from an elementary school with binoculars reminds me of an experience I went through. So basically, my elementary school would take all the children from grades 3 to 6 to the huge park that was basically one block away. The teachers would take turn bringing the kids and the year sixes would stand at the front and side of the lines keeping everyone in order. One day, there was this lady holding her phone right at some of the kids, including my friend and I. We were all sort of creeped out and thought she was taking a photo. I think someone casually mentioned it to a teacher and they told us to tell them if this happened ever again. I also think a few years before then, there was a man who had a phone and was also holding it at us through like a bush or something. Luckily, the vice principal was taking us across for some reason that day, and he asked the man what he was doing and I think they sorted it out or something. In general, I always loved going to the park because there was always something interesting that happened. Whether there was a fire truck that went right passed where I was standing a few seconds after a group of students and I ran to the other side of the lights, or whether there was a mother owl with her babies. Whether when in year 6 (the year that you are allowed to cross again to go to the basketball courts), the boys and girls where fighting over the courts, or if some boys kicked the ball onto the road and nearly ran after it before a teacher stopped them. Or even if there was a wedding! Or if someone stepped in dog poo on the way back and the whole class used it as an excuse to take their shoes off in class. I took all of that for granted. I loved going to the park and having all those experiences.
i don't know much about it but Rajasthan govt kind of wanted to pass a bill which will maybe legitimise child marriage. i am really less informed about this so forgive me if I am wrong.
