Dior Homme Intense 2011 by Christian Dior is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for men. Dior Homme Intense 2011 was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Francois Demachy. Top note is lavender; middle notes are iris, ambrette (musk mallow) and pear; base notes are vetiver and virginia cedar.
Valentino Uomo is conceived as a young Italian heir, whose timeless elegance comes from his legacy. The new edition of the fragrance Valentino Uomo from 2014, Valentino Uomo Intense, comes out in the spring of 2016, announced as the more intense, charismatic and masculine version.
The composition is suave leathery, deep and bright; a typical Italian fragrance style. While the original fragrance represents white leather, the new version brings the intense scent of black leather. Its top notes contain clary sage oil and fresh mandarin. The heart notes include the elegance of iris absolute and tonka bean, laid on a base of black leather and vanilla bean.
The face of the perfume is French actor Louis Garrel. The refined design of the original bottle remained the same, coated in a darker shades of gray. Available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I think DHI is more for close encounters while VUI is more signature scent worthy.
I would say Dior Homme Intense just for the simple fact that 1. I love Dior! 2. I’ve never smelled VHI so by logic I would go with DHI!! And thanks for the review Kevin!!

@@MoahGentleGivinchy frags are low quality. Never get more than 4 hours out of them. Only good frag they had was gentlemen play/play intense and they discontinued it a long time ago

Honestly, I went with VUI because it’s less in your face and more versatile, as you said. Worked wonders for me both at work (lots of compliments) and on dates with my gf (lots of compliments there as well). DHI (as well as DHP) is a tad bit too strong for me since I am one of those “weirdos” who don’t really gravtitate towards beastly and hyper performing frags. It was a hard choice, but in the end I went for VUI. It also has a better price online than DHI, so that can be a deciding factor as well for some guys.

Stopped through Nordstrom last week and scooped up Valentino Uomo Intense. Wore it out for NYE 2018 and it performed well. I like the justification Kevin provided with regard to purchasing it as opposed to DHI. I prefer the subtle nature of Valentino Uomo Intense over DHI personally. Great video!

I own both of them Kev. DHI- first formulation and first reformulation. For me, it boils down to the whether or not I'm feeling the leather note in VUI. If I want leather, I reach for VUI. If just want a gourmadish sweetness... I go for DHI.

I am rocking my 2016 bottle of DHI as a daily scent... Since is a tad weaker in comparison to previous batches. This "weakening" of the composition makes it easier to wear, and maybe an all year round scent. I have gotten a lot of compliments lately at the office, the classroom and even in the gym! DHI is King!

Love both to be honest, but I have to disagree with you on the Valentino being more sophisticated. I find the Dior to be that, it's French after all, it's all in the details (just like a French bespoke suit), it's classy. The Valentino, well, it's Italian, it's classy also but sexier in a more playful way (at least to me), it's more to the point, the sort of let's go down to business, I'm here to flirt. So for me, VUI, but nothing against those who prefer DHI.
I agree, both are near identical - but if were picking at straws VUI has a more playful vibe. I'm smelling both on each arm; DHI is slightly darker more woods more suede of some kind more alluring, more serious. VUI has a more powdery bright vanilla bubble gum vibe. More uplifting. People claim the DHI is chocolate and VUI is vanilla but i don't get that. I get DHI as a Iris vanilla suede woods, and VUI as an Iris vanilla powdered bubble gum. VUI for the win!
Hello Kevin.Have had the original Valentino Uomo for sometime and love it.However picked up a bottle of Armani /Prive Myrrhe Imperiale last week and i am hooked line and sinker on that line.
Gotta go with the Uomo Intense but I do enjoy both
Havent had a chance to try VUI but DHI i love, actually prefer it in the spring and summer, in the cold it gets very waxy and a bit too much on my skin
I personally prefer Valentino Uomo Intense slightly over The Dior

DHP is available on mostly on Duty Free. Bought 2 100 mls for extra peace of mind. Hope this helps.
They're similar but not really redundant to my nose, either way, one will serve as a back up bottle to the other

I am 38, and DHI fits more my taste and my age group, I find it a bit more mature than VUI. However, VUI for a night out, wearing classy dark clothes... Magical!!!!

VUI for me. I find it a little more fresh and orange-creamy than DHI, which is darker and has a cocoa vibe.

DHI performance for 2018 batch sucks in my experience.. the scent though is amazing especially on dry down but sadly performance not great and haven’t got any compliments for nearly 6 months

I prefer DHI however you cannot buy a new bottle of the original and the new stuff is no good in my opinion. If you want the strongest scent you can get a new bottle of Uomo as opposed to a 7 year old DHI that has lost a lot of its flavour and intensity.
I got both been awhile since I wore them and it is hard to choose.

but the other way around for fragerance
I sold my DHI because VUI left it for dead in the compliments factor 😆. Don't get me wrong...both are superstars, but if a similar scent does a lot better on my skin, the other fragrance oftentimes gets the boot 😆.
parfume should not be used on skin. it's stupid. all fragrences are toxic, and skin absorbes it. people should spray on clothes and they will always smell the smae no matter so called "skin chemistry".
DHI no doubt. Significantly more interesting and higher quality.
Availability is the other issue. Often these amazing fragrances get discontinued, and were left trying to find an alternative. DHI has already bitten the dust. I hope VUI isn't next, but if so, I guess next best thing is Gentlemen by Givenchy EDP.
