I know a lot of gay trans guys who think they are lesbians and come out as lesbians because they think it is the only way they can be masculine and are sort of in denial about being attracted to men. I am also a trans guy and I can say for sure that it is very difficult to understand what is going on with yourself when you don't know who you really are

I'm mtf trans, and I came out as trans, after 27 years of avoiding anything that made me seem feminine. Including males, unless I had a reason to engage with one.
Once I began transitioning, I chose to tell my siblings about my boyfriend, which was my own form of coming out. I think alot of us end up coming out multiple times, because we feel this need to announce these things. After telling my siblings about the guy I was with, I've decided that my sexual orientation is nobody's business but my own. (as I proceed to tell the world. Lol)
