Great tips as always! As a fellow Melbournian, I feel slightly less guilt for having neglected my own garden and trees over the past couple of weeks too lol this weather has seriously been all over the place! P.s. your plant food is second to none, I currently have one of my lemon trees sprouting several dozen lemons right now, top stuff! Along with the BG, EB & LG, nothing else I'd ever use 👍
My lemon tree has put out numerous blossums on 4 branches so far they are fruiting. I have a concern as that is alot of "lemons" for such a young 3 yr old tree on the tips of willowy branches. More blooms are forming too on other branches but not so full. Will my tree self regulate by dropping fruit or should I take some off? First yr citrus grower, haha.
I started with more than 30/40 oranges on my dwarf orange tree and I have noticed it's dropping it's fruit. I have no idea why? Tree is very healthy and always well watered.
Sometimes too much water/moisture can cause fruit drop as will sudden changes in temperature. I use black grit for the calcium which helps to keep the fruit on the tree.
I cut my lemon tree hard 3 years ago. This season I put 2 bags of vasilis planting mix and plenty of black grit. I have fruit. I put CGWS on it and works awesome. No citrus gall wasp on it. Organic products = clean eating
Sorry to say but Yates success ultra is way cheaper is the the ultimate for citrus been using white oils/powders for years gave up on my citrus. With Success ultra it’s been a life saver.
200g of CGWS will make 4 litres for initial spray costs $24.95 200mls of Yates success ultra makes 40 litres of mix. Also does caterpillars, thrips, specialises in leaf miner(which white oils are very average)and is made from a natural soil bacteria and can be sprayed on your leafy greens that can be consumed.
So grateful for your knowledge
