Does Bushiroad know Premium exists? I lost hope after Overdress because almost nothing transfers to premium which is the main format my community plays.
Huh? What are the top 3 decks in the format right now? Shiranui, Granblue, Neo Nectar. Why are they the top 3 decks now? Because of support they got from Standard. Neo Nectar and Granblue reeeeeeeally needed Enlargulv. Granblue uses Enlargulv to grab Forbidoll, another card from Standard. Before those cards the decks had problems that held them back. Shiranui was okay, but it was very one-trick pony with Mizukaze. Then the stride deckset came out and gave it more options. Crest, restanders, etc. Not to mention Angel Ladder, Sanctitude, etc. They’re even gonna start printing strides into the main sets. And not to mention, Premium got dedicated product just a few months ago!
@@jacobjensen7704 The point I was trying to make is that V support had more impact on premium. I meant that most cards aren’t used at all because of the way they are designed. Most text on standard cards is limitations. They only work with 1 deck in mind requiring a specific vanguard or the use of the ride deck, energy or other mechanic that doesn’t exist in premium. The stride decks are also unfair because not every clan has access to crest cards. They introduce more RNG because of the lack of ride deck. If you ride the specific grade 1 then you get an enormous advantage over the opponent. Standard cards are as a whole much weaker than V cards. They have lower shield value and their skills do less for more cost. When V came out every deck was switching most cards to the new ones. Every V support had significant meta changes to premium and V. Standard sets come and go with nothing really changing. I thought Neo nectar was great because they had plant tokens and Untainted Holy Damsel, Green Katrina. Gran blue could already tutor for any card they want so I don’t under why Sea Strike Dragon, Enlargulv was needed for those clans. It gives a draw when striding but gran blue already had huge hands after striding. The last time we got true support was over a year ago on the 11th of August 2023 when PV Special Series 01: History Collection released. The reprint decks they release aren’t support because they don’t bring new cards to the format.
@@jacobjensen7704 dude what? are you really trying to say that gb and neos are top tier simply because of enlargulv? i agree that it helped the decks but they were already some of the top decks of the format before dbt13 came out. like do you think neos became good again because katrina got unbanned or because they got enlargulv? granblue already had cards like greed shade that got cards back from drop, enlargulv is simply another option that doesn't accelerate deck out, the card is good but saying gb really needed it is such an insane stretch, like no one was saying "oh man all of granblue's problems would be fixed if i could add cards from drop to my hand!" as for premium product, it is pretty clear that bushiroad is giving less and less of a shit each year. the last time we received actual new cards that weren't just erratas was in 2022, and the new products this year while great for new players trying to get into the format, really didn't change the landscape or shake things up. at least in previous years even though we still only get 1 product a year, it introduced new cards or mechanics that made it feel fresh to play premium again no matter the deck you're playing. this year if you weren't playing any of the clans in the decksets or have your clan get crest support, you're still playing the same thing from last year. no banlists in months also shows they really aren't paying much attention to the format when ppl have been clamoring for cards to get hit or come off the banlist i.e. reverence rush, spangled.
