  • DIY Paper Rocket Launcher Tutorial. This is a great project to do with your kids or with a youth group. The launcher uses compressed air to launch paper rockets farther than you would expect. Most paper rockets can withstand 20-40 psi, but if you make them robust you can crank sometimes withstand 60-100 psi. Ideal activity for kids 8 to 14 (and for parents too)!

Thank you so much for this video. I followed this how to and made a launcher for my science class. We did some research, made a first attempt, trialled, and then made a second. They loved it. Thanks so much for making and posting this.

Awesome video! Trying to make one of these for our cub scout troop. Did you have to alter the sprinkler valve at all? When I press the button, it seems like it slowly pushes out the air, but if I put my finger on the tube (to give it back pressure) it pops and gives me a solid burst of air. Any ideas?

Make sure you have enough voltage to open the valve. I use 2-9V batteries in series for 18V.

@@ScienceFunInnovations what do you mean when you say you worked the batteries " in series"? Also how do you connect the wire to the top of the 9v batteries?
