- I have a brand new Andy Anderson board but I messed up my setup...
After 20 years, I decided to ride again a skateboard.

You didn't lose three days. Experimenting is part of skating. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It is all very interesting.
We need the right tool for job. That is why I have so many setups.
None of the Anderson boards worked for me. Glad it did for you.

There’s always something you can learn about trying out different setups… even if you go back to what you had before, at least you know why it works better.

@@SkateCrisis until recently I was using the following truck mashup: Indy stage 6 baseplate, tensor maglight hanger ( before the ATG ones ), bones bushings and inverted kingpin from the 80s. Worked really well… like an Indy but so much lighter.
In the end, there was too much play in the kingpin so it got annoying.
Fun experiment tho.

I got the same board for Christmas and got new indy mids too and I was having a hard time too.as I've never had 149 wide indys ever or a 8.5 plus board ever but I'm liking it.
You’re pretty damn good O.G!! Nothing is wrong with your set ups it’s just the life of a skater keep trying until you get it and learning what you did to land the trick!!

It's always risky to change to much at once. I try to never change deck shape, wheel base or shoes and rarely trucks. I enjoyed watching the battle! 💯💪
And you're absolutely right! But at least I can blame the setup instead of me!🤣🤣🤣

Yes you are so right. Changing my trucks from Venture to anything else took me an eternity of time. it never turned out well. Now i‘m back to venture and it runs fine. Changing everything is pure suicide 😂

The 50:50 through the S bend curb was really cool. As for the board set up it always good to try out new things every now and then. Even if they don't work I won't say they are a waste. Its all a learning curve.

hey family im a skater from Philadelphia. this might just be me but i would much rather hear the sound of you skating then the horrible elevator music that youtube provides for us to use. ok thats out of the way. i suggest you try some 93 a dragons . i bought some and i cant see life without them. mine are 93a 58mm. we are about the same age and its way easier on my joints. i ride a 9,5in new deal siamese deck indy 169 titaniums and the 58mm dragons with bronson ceramics. if you tried my board you would be sold. the wider trucks changed my bowl skating dramatically for the better
Haha, elevator songs are so bad that I start to enjoy them!🤣 That's a pretty cool set up you have! I had dragon wheels but I didn't like the way they slide. They slide too much on asphalt and not enough on concrete. I would ride them only on very rough spot. I just bought some low 60 Ace trucks and I'm thinking about a new 9 wide board...
