It was me that recognized you at the Brownsville rag house! I was searching through the sport section when I looked over my shoulder and you passed by. When i started watching videos trying to learn what it’s all about, I thankfully ran into your channel. One of your videos was what key words to use to look for these places and that ignited a fire in me especially since I live in brownsville. I have been finding some really good bangers and dirt cheap. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to me! I also think I gave you the “ojo “ when you were walking out the rag house and dropped the pants I saw that lol but it has happened to me too. Keep up the great work broski 👍
Aww appreciate this comment and the kind words you said at the rag house! Hope you continue finding great pieces and hopefully in the future we bump into each other again!
It was fun seeing you thrift in them places.. I hardly ever buy new anymore. I’d rather go thrifting for unique clothes. Show some video of your event!
Right! It’s so much more affordable to buy secondhand! I plan on showing more event vlogs on the channel just have to battle the social anxiety aspect of it lol!
Interesting video!! I learned a lot!! I had not heard of rag houses!! I’m a newbie to the goodwill bins (have been about 6 times total) and trying to learn as much as possible to get into reselling. The bins are so gross but so much fun!!! Sometimes I wonder what that says about me!!! 😂
The bins overwhelm me! I can’t justify waiting 30-45 minutes in between rotations just to be bomb rushed by 10 other people looking in the same bin as me lmao!
do you pay by the bale? I've never been to a rag house! what is the average price for a bale if you dont mind me asking? this is so interesting to me! poop!
Yes, some place I pay by the pound as well! Typically the bales are $50-$80 dollars but definitely can across more expensive bales! Price doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a better bale, it comes down to luck really!
It’s normally 50 cent to a dollar a pound when sourcing at free picking spots! You can also buy bales of clothing from $40 to $100 and you keep whatever you find! I made a new video on it where I talk a lil more about it!
Never been to a Rag house, do they charge you per bale? I go to Goodwill bins, went this morning and found a Nice tee but the collar was cut, not the first time that’s happened, it Saddens me also 😢
Yes! It varies per rag house how they do business! Some charge per bale some Charge by the pound just like the bins! lol I wish people would stop chopping clothes!
The ones in Brownsville I don’t really say for I was invited by friends! If you go to Hidalgo south of McAllen there are multiple on the main road! You can look up tres dimensiones for reference!
It's my first time here. Do you buy a bale first and then you're limited to the contents of it? Do you leave your rejects there (I assume)? Explain how this works.
Precisely! Because the whole purpose of a rag house is for the employees there to cut the used clothes into wiper rags! I pay for the bale and if I get one thing or 27 things it’s the same price!
These are some in Brownsville that I keep to myself! Butttt I know there are like 3-5 in McAllen that are like a $1 a pound! If you look up the rag house “tres dimensions” on google you’ll see there are multiple on the same street!
They are very pricy for it being 2 day events! Now if it’s worth it totally depends on what you sell! My next video will be talking about thriftcon Denver and my opinion on the trajectory of the event!
@@GerardoVillacorta wow thats good to know. Here i was thinking i want to go to Houston to do a rag house shopping tour. I guess I’ll stay in the valley. Hidalgo has a ton of rag houses too.

Hello from Houston. What is the price at the rag house. Is it by the pound or by the piece.

Do you have to have an appointment for the rag house?
Most in the valley are open to the public and you kinda just show up
@@GerardoVillacorta I appreciate it I might have to make a road trip in the near future!!
I'm from the valley! what rag houses were these? are they open to the public?
These are some in Brownsville that I keep to myself! Butttt I know there are like 3-5 in McAllen that are like a $1 a pound! If you look up the rag house “tres dimensions” on google you’ll see there are multiple on the same street!
Do they also have women’s vintage at these rag houses?
Yes they do! Sometimes they have it separated but you can dig through piles to find it as well!
@@GerardoVillacorta thank you for your reply! Love your vids they’re so informative!
Just getting into the game. I live down here in the valley. How do I find these rag houses. ?
You can search textile rag house on google! Over in Hidalgo south of McAllen google “tres dimensions” it’s a rag house that’s open to the public!!
Hi! Q - Can anyone go to the rag houses? How do you pay for your items?
Most are open to the public and prices vary!
I'm from the RGV. where are these rag houses? MISSION,tx
These are in Brownsville but there’s a lot in Hidalgo you can look up “tres dimensions” online and it’s pay by the pound!
💩 Just subbed & love your content. Good luck on Denver. Drive safe. ☮️💜
Thanks for watching till the end! Also thank you for the sweet words (:
Do you think the booth fees for thriftcon are worth it? I’ve heard it’s pretty expensive
They are very pricy for it being 2 day events! Now if it’s worth it totally depends on what you sell! My next video will be talking about thriftcon Denver and my opinion on the trajectory of the event!
I’ve never heard of a rag house. I’m in Texas. I need to see if there are any near me. I’m north of Houston.
Closest thing in Houston would be the goodwill bins(also known as the outlet stores)
Dope video keep it up
Thank you!!!
Cool video 😎 New subscriber !
Thank you for the sub (:
Hi from kingsville, tx
Hi!! I sometimes eat at that chic fil an off the highway!!
Why did you drive so far? Dont they have rag houses in Houston
Rags in Houston are private and bought out by international buyers! In the valley the rags are open to the public and are significantly cheaper!
