The one handed side step, I call it the push around deke, is way more effective this year. Last year it's was going into the defenseman's skates all the time.
Looking forward to the in depth deke videos. Maybe not one video for each one, maybe lump a few together but if you're looking to pump out videos, might be the way to go. Everyday uploads are nice for growing.
Great video. How do you do the little whip around behind the opponents net? I've seen some opponents do it and it looks like its own animation. They just whip from behind the net and slam it in.
Are you talking about the net bank? Check the timestamps. It sounds like you’re either talking about that or the wrap around. To do a wrap around just hold the puck on your backhand or forehand depending on what side you’re on and press shoot and aim for the near post.
Great stuff, as always llama. I took last year off from gaming. I was unemployed in 2020 and playing NHL 20 every single day all day. I got so burnt out on it and games overall that I never turned on my ps4 for a year. Looking to jump back into 22 and get going. What’s your early thoughts on 22?
There are things I like and things I don’t. The hitting is really fun, the EASHL build system is really deep, pass interceptions are very much a thing, but puck pickups seem to have taken a step back, loading into games and lobbies is pretty buggy, and passing feels a little wonky. I think I’m still adjusting from 21 but I’ll put a vid out detailing my thoughts soon.
guys, the timing is let go of the left stick, then do the michigan deking, then go back on left stick to aim top corner and then find someone who has good enough hands to pull it off, its fucking hard but I love the challenge
Why can I hit it at a decent rate on free skate but can’t even pick it up in drop on games? Anyone know? I assume ping plays some role but to not even pick it up seems odd

2K23 first timer in the series. This video was outstanding my dude! Got me looking flashy out here :D
Glad to be of service
you changed the game with me for creating separation appreciate you!
Love the more pronounced toe drag, works wonders. Still struggling to get it to pop everytime though.
You gotta skate a little bit and glide slowly for it
Thanks for the help
Thanks mate
Nice video
Appreciate these as always!
Wow great tutorial I learned every deke in nhl 22

@@llamapenNHL Yes I was talking about the wrap around. Thanks for the answer!
@@llamapenNHL he’s talking about The Michigan
That red light in net drives me nuts
If it still is the same the fake shot depends on if your skating up or down, might be different than the old games tho 🤷♂️
did they remove the fake toe and heel drags
A long time ago, yes.
How do you push the puck ahead of a little bit try to gain speed Dow the ice
Tap in R1 while skating forward VERY lightly.
is there 3-4 best ones to practice?
The best moves are the most simple ones. Toe drag, spin move, through the legs, L1 quick deke are all useful and pretty easy to learn.

@@llamapenNHL awesome, thanks
Very helpful video but there was an ad literally like, once every 2 minutes
Ahhhh. Never made a video this long lemme see if I can get rid of some of them.
@@llamapenNHL Thank you, a few is fine, maybe like every 8-9 minutes
Michigan easier on nhl22?
Nah it's the same.
@@llamapenNHL i almost truly hit it today on 21 online, sooo close with number 19 on the hawks

@@_chrisgarland_ Had a guy do it in the open ice in 6’s last night. Terrible goaltending but still awesome.

How to deflect shots?
Be in position, generally you also have to face the puck, and have a good hand eye rating. There is no button you have to press or anything.
Damn I remember the other day I read somewhere that you didn’t even get 22 yet LOL
Facts.
Nhl 22 is not letting me join training camp for some reason is this happening to anyone else
Haven't experienced that.
