Ahhhh I tried this but I can’t get it as clean looking as yours, I also used chiffon and organza but organza looked better...does this mean my soldering iron is not hot enough or I just need practice?
Dont worry, at FIRST i also feel MISERABLE 😆. My petal was burn and sticky edge. It takes me months-years to master all type of fabrics to adjust the heat. Lucky me, i run a small business on these stuffs, so i practice a lot. Yes, the key is the heat. Too hot and too low would result bad petal. From my experience, Good petal result is the combination of these: 1. Smooth edge stencil (my stencil are mostly handmade, when i cut them, i make sure that the edge is smooth) 2. Suitable heat. What heat should be use is depend on the fabric. My solder heat default is around 350-380 celcius, the thinner the fabric is, the lower the heat needed. 3. Use smooth ceramic as a cutting base. 4. Sharp tip of solder iron. I have 3 solder iron and only use one of them. If you can find Sunshine SL 908 (60 watt), then buy it. Very cheap, less than 5 USD. 5. Be patient and enjoy the crafting time, keep practice beacause no one is born gifted 😄
Have you ever used a heat gun? There is a stations that has both soldier iron and heat gun and both has heat control. I cut with soldier iron and use heat gun to shape the fabric. What do you thin? Is it feasible? @@TasyaCraft
@@mahnoorfarooq9318 it is artificial stamen. You can buy it in craft store. Actually you can make them at home using corn starch and nail polish, but since this is cheap, it is better to use machine made stamen. Handmade stamen is time consuming.
For now, I only sell for lokal market. Anyway why dont you learn to make it or ask local crafter to make it for you, it is very easy (it just need practice to make it even more beuatiful) and of course cost you less ☺
You can buy organza in local fabric store, it is cheap depend on its quality, price range 2-4 USD per meter square (100*120 cm), beads and artificial stamen in craft store. Or go to aliexpress, but the shipping time is not friendly, sometimes it takes 6-8 weeks for the goods to be arrived.
