- Wondering how to tell an authentic United States Navy Mark V from a
reproduction? This short video features side by side a a real Mark V
and a replica. As a service to our clients and collectors worldwide we
thought it would be helpful to show the differences between a fake and
a real one made by DESCO.
This should be required viewing for tattoo shops. I've seen dozens and dozens of replica helmets tattooed on people.

There are reproduction helmets that have come out in the past few years that look exactly like a genuine Mark V. The only way to tell them from the real thing is to examine the helmet in person, knowing what to look for, or ask an expert. Unless you know what you're doing, always either make sure the helmet comes with a guarantee of authenticity or ask an expert before buying .
Would the reproduction still work as a diving helmet underwater?

Where do you get everything else
I would like to find the specs of a US Navy Mark V diving helmet. I want to create an accurate cosplay/costume of the helmet. Does anyone know where I could find the info or specs? I've looked but to no avail.
