Yes, definitely going into the wild wood with the majors! So happy you’re doing this!!!! I laid my cards out as you were talking so now I have the wheel of the year across my bed. Sorry, honey.... no room for you tonight!!!

I love the way you associate the seasons. Air is the Winter for me too. Water is the Spring. Fire is the Summer and Earth is the harvesting time which is the Fall. Love it Kelly. I am creating the Aces and very glad to learn that we are on the same page when it comes to the seasons.

I have the full size version of the greenwood tarot with book I bought many years ago and has always been one of my favourite decks.

11:20 ironic and apt that air is the element which shifts around the most for many 😂

I watched this video so many times! This video convinced me to buy the Wildwood Tarot- which just happened to be on sale for half the price. I just received my deck and I love it so much.

I love this! My newest obsession is the wheel and how Native, Wiccan and ancient Chinese cultures have common denominators. I would love to find your facebook group!

    Hello Kelly,
I'm finally welcoming in the calling for this deck.
I saw that there is a Wildwood Tarot work book and another book A Year In The Wildwood: Explore The Wildwood Tarot by Alison Cross that are available.
I'm wondering if you have read these books? Or if you feel the guidebook to the Wildwood Tarot is informative enough for advanced tarot practitioners?
    What do you think? 🌹✨🤍

I have the Greenwood Tarot with the accompanying book and I have the Wildwood Tarot, too. The texts in both books are the same, with these exceptions: Two prefaces (from Mark Ryan and John Matthews) are added in the Wildwood book, as well as pictures of every card, two additional spreads, and a more detailed description of the Minor Arcana. There are no images in the Greenwood book. By the way, the Greenwood cards are not numbered. The different order is only in the book! There's another thing I have noticed: The arrows, the cups, and the stones from the court cards are rearranged! I find this a bit annoying ...

I know you did the challenge like 4 years ago, but is there a place that has the spreads you created for the tarot challenge besides scrolling back in your feed on instagram for 3 years?

Kelly, what do you think of using the wheel of the zodiac and the minor arcana cards traditionally associated with the astrological decans as another overlay to the wheel as interpreted by the wild wood deck? Would it work? I'm learning the decan system now as it relates to the tarot and it's fascinating. I don't have the wildwood deck but I'm interested in learning it's system if for no other reason than to compare and contrast, there is something useful in everything. I, like you, am very involved in wheel dynamics at present. Your videos on this subject are informative and inspiring, thanks. (:

In what world is fire associated with winter? xD winter = coins, summer = wands, cups = fall and swords = spring, at least that is what is associations in other pegan-type of decks. Sometimes swords is associated autumn and pentacles are associated with spring (which I dig too) but fire as winter?

Hey Kelly, love your videos. Just wondering if you have heard of a deck called The Living Altar oracle? It was designed to represent, construct and work with the wheel of the year. I’m just curious if you have seen it or worked with it.

Hi Kelly; I hope I spelled your name correctly. I am an admin in a small Facebook group called "Greenwood and Wildwood Tarot." We have 265 members. I thought it would be interesting to post some information on The Wheel of the Year. I think this video is perfect! You do such a great job explaining it. Would it be okay if I post a link to this wonderful video? Regards, Susan

I just got this and havent worked with it yet at all. One thing that stands out to me however, is that I like the animals for the court cards but i feel like the medieval hierarchy of the actual court is unnecessary.

Hi Kelly, I am only just starting out and I have the wild wood tarot and looking at the wheel of the year, I am in the Southern Hemisphere, is everything just the opposite or is there another wheel ? Feeling a bit lost.

Why is the cover of your book different than the one for sale on Amazon? Is it a different edition or a different book all together?

Is the Wild wood a system all to its own ,some of the cards do not jell with the RWS ?

    • @TheTruthinStory
      @TheTruthinStory  7 ปีที่แล้ว

jackie smith most definitely! It is a system revolving around the wheel of the year and the archetype of the wild woods, while some are recognizable from traditional meanings, many do deviate!
