If I’m being honest, it really doesn’t have great competitors. The VW and Citroen look like clown cars, the Kia and the Seat are a bit too safe, and the new Juke is actually really smart, and angular, much better than the old one.
I just started listening - 1 minute in... when the juke was released - there was no competition at all, it was the pioneer of the sub-compact suv class, later others tried to catch up using the same formula, for example like the mentioned c3 aircross.
Doubt Europe will get it due to their CO2 Emission regulations. If it were to come to the U.S. we would probably get it at a premium price which would depend on its sales. Many didn't buy the Juke not only cause of its look but the cost was ridiculous for such a small vehicle. Hence why Kicks are selling like hotcakes...dirt cheap boringly styled economy subcompact.
I utterly adore my Juke, never thought I would when I first saw it but it completely grew on me. I wouldn't say the interior was lacking though on the old one (although I was very disapointed in 2018 it didn't have android auto), but the new interior is lovveeeellyyy. I like the style, but I'll miss my frog eyes.
Rumor is that it's in the cards come 2020. The Old Juke (discontinued this year) had its spot replaced by Kicks. Versa Note will be discontinued for 2020
@FitBlondeBrit Tatiayna Absolutely. Then again, the Kicks has 122hp and it is doing just fine for many people. I don't see anything wrong with the 1.0T@117hp because the new Juke is lighter, keeps the sticker price low, better fuel economy, and it's at least a turbo compared to the Kicks' standard 1.6L. I do agree though, it should be offered with the original 1.6T or at least a new hybrid powertrain. However, what that will do to sticker price and fuel economy is another story. Hence why the Kicks was offered...a dirt cheap plain economical subcompact.
Hey! What happened to including the Kia Stonic in the voting?! Not cool, because my vote would be more difficult with the Stonic, but I think I'd still go with the new Juke. Also, why isn't the Toyota C-HR included with the comparison or vote? It's the most identical to the Juke than anything else out there! When Toyota came out with it, it was a better-looking solution for someone considering the Juke. As far as the new Juke, this is a HUGE improvement over the 1st gen! I really love this styling. Nissan maintained its character, while ironing out the issues it had before with goofy styling and the other short-comings you mentioned. The designers did a fantastic job of keeping the Juke's identity, while modernizing it into a very attractive CUV player. From the front, to the profile and to the rear, it has really attractive lines and an aggressive stance. I applaud the rear quarter styling, where it has the upswept C pillar, so popular today, but then complimented by the sharp, sweeping line along the sides, from the front doors to the taillights. Very nice! Too bad Chevy didn't apply those cues to the new Blazer...it would have made it much more desirable-looking. While I'm not in the market for this type of vehicle, if I were, this would be a serious contender!
The old model is the best... Colour choice and age is everything. I have a 19 plate in "Charcoal grey" colouring. Meaning it's the face lift version which is way more attractive than the pre 2014 editions. As well as having more boot space than the original edition. The red you cleverly used for this video doesn't do the old model justice.
Maybe because, like most French cars, they can't compete in terms of the things people find important - namely, value, depreciation, reliability and longevity!

I found myself dangling my foot underneath the brake pedal for more room, so thats probably not the safest thing to do.
I like the new looks and style and more spacious, but I love the 1st generation juke with more power. Maybe Nissan make this juke for 1.0L engine for future upgrade haha with twin turbo engine.
