There are a lot of Nepalis working in the shops in Thailand, most having lived in Myanmar. I met a number of them working at MBK and Khaosan.

Interesting, last time I was in Thailand (around 2008🙈) it was the other way around, Bangkok was the cheapest to shop for fakes and Phuket or Pattaya were much more expensive and much less too choose.
Oh yeah a lot has changed, Bangkok is definitely the most expensive now!

I feel like the price here is cheaper den Bangla Market in Phuket. At least they are willing to sell below 1000baht for the bags, shoes. In Bangla market, the lowest they can go for is 1000 baht for those which I feel like it is still a lot. End up, didn’t buy a single thing. Some store owner there also didn’t have good attitude when u tried to negotiate with them on the price. They will just say don’t waste my time and take the items back from ur hand.
