My father saw the original Frankenstein when it was released. He said it scared the hell out of him! he original Dracula with Bela Lugosi is the best one ever made. I watch it at least once a year, usually around Halloween.
@@lomax117 I just watched the title opening sequence and he was billed as the monster. I tried to attach the link and TH-cam won’t show it so go see for yourself by searching opening title sequence for Frankenstein 1931
I mean technically that is their name but I think the title was a little misleading lol It’s crazy how time flies! I recently saw Sarah at a convention and Bela was just too sick so they had a video of him.
Both Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff created the characters of the monsters and because of it their careers were permanently associated with them. Still, those roles were magnificent and became historical!
The title of this videoclip is somewhat misleadingly since it gives the impression that the interview is of Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi when it is actually an interview of Sara Karloff ( Boris Karloff's daughter) and Bela Lugosi Jr. ( Bela Lugosi's son).
Thanks for this video. Neither Bella nor Boris will ever be replaced or equaled in their roles.

Wow. How old is your father and how old are you? 😮
Met Bela Lugosi, Jr., when he visited us at Ellis Island, and a second time when he came with his son. Wonderful occasions!
Two great films.
Real Hollywood.
Karloff The One And Only Frankenstein Monster, Lugosi The One And Only Count Dracula. All Others Are Phonies!
Uhh Lon Chaney jr played the first F monster
‘You can turn it on and off?’ Haha, interesting choice of words.
Then there was the ending. Haha “Can’t most women” ;)
The two actors I admier most.
The fact that she naturally has that streak of grey through her hair is pretty remarkable.
yeah if you believe it
01:12 ...cue "Frolic".
I am THRILLED to see this.
Frankenstein was the name of the doctor. The monster didn't have a name!
Amazing how many people get that wrong isnt it
He had a name “Frankenstein’s monster” 😂

It’s very misleading. Good to see their offspring though.
How spooky
I'll say this: Boris has a very attractive daughter, with movie star looks! Beautiful woman.......
The original Frankenstein monster was Lon Chaney jr
Close but no cigar! Lon Chaney, Jr. was the son of Lon Chaney who played the part.😊
His son is a an attractive older man
