2:50 Sodium says that he can't let Alice leave, and she understands why. This made me confused at first but watching the third part made it clear that they both were experiments. So Alice knew she was an experiment the whole time then?-
Also at 3:40 The chesire cat must've heard their conversation and saw Alice as a monster? This explains why he was the one who told Alice he knew what she was in the third part, since he had already heard the info and put the pieces together-

2:50 - At this point in time they only know that they're stuck in a room with merciless game masters watching over them and giving them rules to play by, nothing yet of the experiments. The full quote is "Only four of us can make it out. You understand why...I can't let you leave, right?" in reference to the rules of this round being 'only two teams may leave' - he's basically telling her he has to kill her because one team has to be eliminated.
It's also important to note here that he doesn't speak of or even mention the Cheshire Cat, and that nobody targets him. To everyone else, Alice is on a team of her own and there're only five people - since 'only two teams may leave/only four of us can make it out' sodium thinks it'll be easier to just kill one person instead of a team of 2.
3:40 - The Cheshire Cat can only interact with and exist within Alice's head - he sees her as she sees herself when she's on hallucinogens. (The subtitles are actually Alice telling the Cat that she knows what he is in the 3rd part!)

Okay, so to start off I have a sort of unhealthy-ish obsession with everything 'Alice in Wonderland' related so when I found your Outer Science cover (I also love Kagerou Project, btw) I SCREAMED. I've heard it over and over and over! I never get tired of looking at the PV and AH THE ART IS SO GORGEOUS HHHH, and trying to catch everything I can.
SO- I wanted to see if there was more and surprise! There is! I felt so happy to know there's more, www. Read the short story and I'm somewhat confused. So the two elixirs she chose, one was the hallucinogen which made her see Sodium attacking her in a monstrous form? I'm slightly confused by the vagueness of it all but hey I still loved this :)

(SPOILER ALERT)
In the first level, Sodium is infected with the blood of the Jabberwock, so (physically, at least) he's the only 'monster' among them. The hallucinogen just distorts her view of everyone into something less human than they already are - Sodium's face morph at 2:55 is the most clear example (along with the brief flashes of everyone's grotesque form).

Oh absolutely, her eyes changing colors was the simplest way for me to try and portray her chemically-induced descent into madness, but I never really touched on the symbolism of the colors in the written story, so I'm honored and honestly very impressed that you caught all of that ////
I really love subtle story telling and symbolism and all which is why I rewatched your vids (too many times to be healthy) to make sure I didn't miss out on anything.
Ooooohhh ok, along with the time limit, I had initially thought that Sodium's heart was stabbed through from the back but " VERY STRONG AND MASCULINE AND NOT WEAK AT ALL" Kauvaras missed his heart and therefore he survived.
Loving this so much but at the same time NOOOOO Kauvaras and Sodium ;-; (and here I was hoping to see more Jabberwocky Sodium wings and all kinda like in 2:31-2:39 :P)

Aw poor Kauvaras, your "VERY STRONG AND MASCULINE AND NOT WEAK AT ALL"ness didn't save you from Masumi. (I can imagine that Hiraga saying "Someone will lose their head" MIGHT have been forshadowing of Masumi killing and presumably beheading our delicate little rabbit)

H o l y c r a p. I’ve had your guys’d first entry of outer science in my playlist and HAD NO IDEA THE SECOND ENTRY WAS SO ABSOLUTELY INSANE.ho my god. Like the art for one is AMAZING I love the style and the theme you guys have going on, it’s so creepy at the same time and I’ve genuinely never loved anything as much as both the art and the song itself. Not to mention the animation!!!! I kept watching it in awe at how well it contributed to the music. All in all, I could have discovered this later but every single one of you guys are insanely talented.
